EDITS I HAVE SENT THAT WERE APPROVED:
760, and counting :-)
Findagrave's new edit system makes it easier to suggest edits. Findagrave is a collaborative effort. Some folks "mow the rows." Some find old gravewalker lists. Some find old cemetery records. My special skill is fleshing someone out and finding little details. If you have any question about a suggested edit that I have offered, please feel free to contact me:
The stated purpose of findagrave is
"to find, record and present final disposition information."
From findagrave FAQ #146:
Question: How do I add a memorial when I'm not sure in what cemetery they are buried?
Answer: Location of body unknown should be used for recent deaths where the disposition is not currently known. Final disposition should be determined and updated within 30 days.
TRANSLATION OF THE ABOVE: Basically, if you do not know what happened to the body, please do not make a findagrave entry for the deceased.
For gravestone photos only, if I took the photo and added it at findagrave, anyone has my permission to use any gravestone photo for any decent, respectful, non-commercial use.
WANT MORE INFORMATION?
Over 98% of the findagrave memorials managed by this contributor can be found in an off-site database:
In other words, most are related to me or are related to someone who is related to me, even if the relationship is obscure or "hidden."
IF you find your person in that database and want more information, email me and ask to see my private tree at ancestry.com. I'll grant access to what I have at ancestry.com:
THANK YOU to many FAG volunteers who have helped enormously with this massive, decades-long HUFFORD research project. The results of your work will be saved and shared as widely as possible.
