Hello,
I live in Bartlett, TN but grew up in Memphis. Thanks so much to those that left flowers to my mom, Sibyl. She was the last to leave of my immediate family. Thanks for leaving flowers to my dad, Horace. God bless you. I will also leave memorials for my close friends and their families. Please excuse if there are family members that have left the same memorials. Please leave me a message and I will surely delete mine.

Hello! I wrote to Hattie last month and was fearful w/her declining health I might never hear from her. But to my surprise, I recv'd a card depicting her Cataloochee preserved home in the GSMNP. I was so thrilled to have heard from her, I believe she is in her mid 80's, not sure. But I plan to continue writing her as long as she will allow.

Thank you so much for Hatties address. I can't believe you found it! I've tried thru the GSMNP system to find it, but they couldn't help. If Rudy Caldwell had anything to do w/getting info, please, thank him also for me.

Thank you for your reply, but how do I go about looking up Rudy Caldwell on this site? Thought you could only look up the deceased. Sorry to sound ignorant, but much of this site is new to me.

Are you related to the Caldwells who lived in Cataloochee, NC? After the GSMNP was created, all residents within the park were forced to leave their homes, tragedy for so many, esp the elderly, many never survived the move. Just wondering if you might be related to Hattie. I've always wanted to contact her but have no info on her other than the books she wrote of her beloved Cataloochee Valley.
