I have been researching since 1977 and I know how finding that one grave can make a real difference. I now live in Simi Valley, California and do volunteer photos in the Los Angeles area. I would gladly transfer memorials within Find A Grave guidelines. I will be honored to add your information to Civil War soldier memorials, but I am not transferring them because you are collecting Iowa soliders. Please do not hesitate to send me additional information and correct any errors you find in my memorials. I want the memorials as correct and complete as possible. I try to do my corrections and links within a few days of getting your message.|
Please do not leave corrections, biography information OR reference information in the memorial flower area. It is not acceptable. I will add that to the memorial.

I suppose you would also consider me a "fellow researcher" of sorts, but I am on the trail of something that started over 100 years ago & that very name, came into play this very morning, while i was researching something else.
I am looking for & finding very little information about the W.S. Dickey Clay Manufacturing Company of Kansas City/Deepwater Missouri, & also any other subsidiary plants, he may have owned, operated or leased.
I've been working on this project for 7 years now, finding out little tie bits of information here, searching there & often coming up empty handed.
Now as many know, Walter S. Dickey had a very lavish lifestyle in Kansas City. His wife died in 1920, & he of course died, in bankruptcy on January 23rd, 1931. My fellow researcher & friend, Gary Conwell, have visited his gravesite, not an easy feat for the headstones for his & his wife's grave, have went "missing". They are buried in Mount Washington Cemetery in Kansas City, along with the rest of Dickey's family.
Any suggestions, a light to point a direction would be very useful & welcomed, on how to find out more, about the man & his company.
Thanks if you or any of your readers can help..... I can be reached at email@example.com!

I really have to thank you again - I just went back into my research to see what I could find about her children and found out that my great grandfather performed the marriage for her youngest son Grant to Lugene Mattison in 1891 in Shaftsbury.
Thanks again for everything!

First thank you for the information.
I did not delete her memorial in Vermont as there is an actual headstone there for her. I did however unlink her from Daniel and changed her sons' parental links. The memorial in Vermont is a centotaph. I also added information in the bio section stating that she went to Iowa and remarried and is buried there along with links in the bio to both husbands and her son Charles buried in Vermont.

Hello, thank you for transfering Preston Duncan's memorial to me. I had searched for his death place for a long time. I requested a photo of his stone but the person doing the photos reported that the cemetery had no record of a Preston Duncan. Please where did you find your information?
