Bio and Links
Bio Photo I started doing genealogy in 1996, when my husband's family passed around old photos and other information at a family reunion. I have been hooked every since!

I am not sure how I stumbled onto the Findagrave site, but when I saw what they were doing, I decided to start putting on-line the information that I have. Then I realized the potential of this site, by housing grave stones before cemeteries could be destroyed by moving or vandals, I started driving to area cemeteries and copying headstone information.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Instead of creating memorial pages, I am concentrating on getting the "85 Million" memorials linked together. Don't get me wrong, I still make memorial pages as well as photograph cemeteries, however, my main interest right now is getting families linked together.

Please do not duplicate memorials! It makes it difficult to link families together and/or complete cemeteries when there are duplications. First do a search of the whole website AND then if you know the cemetery, search the cemetery as well...Thank you for your consideration.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Please make note: It is NOT a "numbers" game to me, I do this to honor the deceased! I spend upwards of 10+ hours a day on the computer working on findagrave.com. It does not matter who has the memorial page, if I can add information, I send it to the creator, if it is a relative and I have a photo, I add it to the memorial page...what is important here is NOT that I have maintenance of a relative's memorial page, it is that someone cared enough to go out and photograph that memorial so that I and future generations can see the headstone!

Not to upset or belittle anyone, but I WILL ONLY MAKE PERMANENT TRANSFERS WITHIN THE GUIDELINES OF FINDAGRAVE.COM that being 4 GENERATIONS: Spouses, Parents, Brothers and Sisters, Children, Grand-children, Grandparents, and Great-grandparents. Please use the "EDIT" tab to ask for EACH transfer. PLEASE STATE YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE DECEASED and your member id#, without these, your request will be deleted.

For EXTENDED FAMILY MEMBERS or all other requests, I will gladly make additions, corrections or links. PLEASE USE the "EDIT" TAB on the upper right-hand corner of the memorial to send the information. This sends me a direct link to the memorial page required to make the changes. I delete all requests left on my "bio" page or sent to me in a e-mail. Don't forget to send the memorial numbers for links.

If you are seeking transfer to "have all my family together" ~ use the virtual cemetery button. Then all of the memorials will be in the same "cemetery", and you can look at them daily.

Because others feel the same as I do about their hard work, I have also been working with others on "Teamwork Temporary Transfers" - see information below.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Please DO NOT leave biographical information and obituaries in a virtual flower. This is against findagrave.com policy...and the flower will be reported as "abused". As stated, I do make corrections when asked, as well as as try to give credit where credit is due.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Thanks to all of you who have sent additional information for the memorials.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

"Teamwork Temporary Transfers" - I have started working with a few people on a project we are calling "Teamwork Temporary Transfers"...If we have a great deal of changes to be made to a memorial page or quite a bit of information to add to a bio section. I will request a transfer of the memorial page, make the updates and return the memorial page to the original creator. This involves TRUST. I will only request one or two memorials at a time. If you doesn't get transferred back...do not issue anymore memorial pages to anyone…its that simple. "Fool me once, shame on you... fool me twice, shame on me!" Please, give it a try.

When you click on "Transfer Management" the instructions state: "This action is PERMANENT and can not be undone." This is misleading. The PERMANENT implies that it will be lost to you FOREVER. That is true only if it NEVER gets transferred back to your control. The other aspect of TEAMWORK TRANSFER is that the person who contributes the research can add their name in the bio or notes with an embedded link. Contributors who say they will add information that you send to them don't always credit their source. They don't want others taking credit for the photos they post, but they don't think twice about taking credit for other people's research and just pass it off as their own.

RE: Trusty
That's fine! I was wondering if you have any information on the parents of Della E. Belcher Trusty (b 1884 in Indiana, d Aug 1961 and buried in Hickman, KY)? She is my great grandmother and was married to C. A. Trusty.

RE: Mary Cassell
Please NO WORRY !!! I am just trying to link the folks that are buried in Prairiedale cemetery, here in Dickinson co, Kansas, and I just happen to came across it, I did feel bad about it because you do have so much information, but Carla (ksrose, I think she's the one who had the other one) is a pretty easy gal to work with. I know what you mean, when you said names don't show up... you are exactly right !!! You have a good weekend, and if I can do anything for you, please just holler. Sue

RE: Burgess
That's OK...others have transferred family members to me and I was hoping you would do the same. Are you related to this person? She is my Aunt.
