I'm retired and have relocated to Florida (2011).
If there are any changes, corrections, or additions to a relative or friends entry you stumble across that I have done, feel free to email me. I love the 'edit' tab and corrections are really easy for me with that feature on findagrave. TRANSFERS - Unfortunately, I don't really appreciate the approach that a memorial needs transfer because you (not a direct family member) possess additional information which only can be added if transferred. Comes off as a little bogus at this end. As long as I'm alive and not a stroke victim, I can add whatever is passed along. Extensive information also understood and accepted as a valid reason to transfer. Etiquette always plays well.
Don't get me started on abbreviations; too late. I don't like abbreviations, I think people who use them are lazy and inconsiderate. Lazy! Inconsiderate! Yes, because when you can go to a memorial and read through it because it just flows due to the author using their fingers and typing out actual words. It looks so nice. Feels so good to know what you're reading. Then there are those who abbreviate this and that leaving behind cryptic memorials of this generation. Just think what people 100 years later will face when they come up against abbreviations that were popular in 1995 2012 2020 but will have to spend a good amount of time trying to find a rosetta stone of popular abbreviations throughout the last 100 years. And wouldn't you know, the one you made up won't be there. They would email and ask - BUT YOU'RE DEAD! It's so nice to read and know rather than read and wonder what the author was trying to say. There, that's why people who abbreviate are lazy and inconsiderate.
I realize many of you have Type Alpha personalities, but you have to understand that I need to work to keep food on the table, so don't go crazy if I can't get to a request until the weekend.
:::Addendum::: I do apologize for being incredibly tardy in follow up on information additions. This year I'm in process of pulling up stakes and relocating to Florida. Hopefully all will be spit spot by the holidays. Once the dust settles I should be back full force. I'm still catching up on corrections (winter 2011). | |

 | William Henry Maddox Jr Please ignore my previous request concerning subject person. I discovered that the "Wm Maddox" #3674367 was a civil war soldier and could not be my relative. Thank you, Robert H Boyd | | | Robert H Boyd
 | William Maddox Good Evening,
I am seaching for the grave of William Henry Maddox, Jr, My grand uncle. I believe that his gave is findagrave #3674367, listed as "Wm Maddox" in Levenworth, Kansas. I noticed that you had added some photographs but whomever established the memorial is not listed. I thought maybe that you had established the memorial since you loaded the photos. My William Maddox was born 18 May 1914 and died 22 September 1999. He was stationed at Ft Levenwoth and retired from the army at that installation
Can you help me establish if #3674367 is my William Maddox and if so do you know who established and maintains his findagrave record?
Any assistance that you can provide is appreciated.

 | James Boicourt #5729599 I have an obituary that I can upload but there are no images available. Might it be possible to remove your grave photo so I could upload the obituary?
Thanks Richard Soash | | | cherwill
 | Discrepancy Between Tombstone and Memorial The tombstone shows the parents as W. T. and M.F. Herd. The memorial states the parents are Samuel A. Herd and Pernecia Jane Megee Herd. Even allowing for nicknames and additional given names, this would be a very unlikely match.Added by cherwill on Feb 13, 2013 4:48 PM | | | Bill Haseltine
