Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm a mother of three, and have been doing research since 2002. I also work full time, so if it takes me some time to respond to your edits/notes, I apologize.

I am currently adding memorials from Salem German Reformed Cemetery, Philadelphia.

The memorials I've created for Skippack Brethren Cemetery and Trinity Reformed Cemetery in Collegeville, PA were originally transcribed by Wilmer Reinford in 1961 and 1963.

I am reluctant to add memorials for individuals who died between 1985 and present day, out of respect for the family of the deceased. I have posted many in the past, but will not continue to do so unless they are my own family. If I have memorialized your loved one who has passed recently, please contact me, so I can transfer their memorial to you.

I have a passion for telling every story, whether it's about my own family, people I've never met, or people unrelated to me. I see important stories in the birth, life, and death of every person; right down to every stillborn child, step-child, second (and third, and fourth) spouse and those who lived in the alms houses, asylums, and orphanages. Whether these people lived one minute, or a hundred years; left a large fortune, or were buried in a pauper's grave with no marker: their lives have a story to tell.

These are the stories of true character in our personal histories, and are my favorite to uncover.

Please stop by and visit my nephew, Azzy.

I'm primarily researching the following in Pennsylvania:

Klotz family of Bucks, Lehigh, Northampton, and Philadelphia Counties

Rittenhouse family of Philadelphia and Montgomery Counties

Renner, Moyer, Schall, and Stoudt families of Moore Township, Northampton County

Crist family of Montour and Bucks Counties

Long, Schuler, Schuyler, Beidler, Strunk, and Musselman families of Bucks County

Lauer and Fenstermacher families of Lehigh and Northampton Counties

Kehs family of Berks, Montgomery, and Bucks Counties

Clemmer, Yerger, Buck, Bauer, and Leh families of Berks, Bucks, and Montgomery Counties

Boyer family of Northampton and Lower Towamensing, Weissport, Franklin, and Mahoning Township Carbon County.

Rinker, Detweiler, Rodenbach, and Schmidt families of Bucks County

Williams, Clemmer, Smith, Schmidt, Foster, and Winterling families of Philadelphia County

Everhart, Turner, Burnwood, and Mouse families of Montgomery County.

Kohl, Hartman, and Clemmer families of Bally and Washington Township, Berks County

My New York research is primarily on:

Weber, Allen, Milliken, and Kurtz families of Hornell, Steuben County

Burr, Crandall, and Cooper families of Angelica Village, Allegany County

Foster and Smith families of Duchess County

My Maryland research is on:

Winterling and Wilhelm families of Baltimore

Foster, Smith, Rutter, Boyce, and Bristow families of Cecil County

My Connecticut research is focused on:

Burr families of Hartford and Fairfield; Grinnell, Hill, Nettleton, Barber, Pabodie, Parmelee, Balcomb, Jacobs, Lynzey, Gillette, and Loomis families of Litchfield County; and the Ellsworth, Alvord, Hoskins, Newton, Browne, Scott, Root, Nichols, Baysey, and Holcomb families of Hartford.

My Massachussetts research is on:

Holcomb, Strutt, Whatlock, Scott, Waller families of Essex County; Pabodie, Alden, Mullins, and Nettleton of Plymouth.

My Rhode Island research is primarily on:

Cooper, Crandall, and Pendleton families of Washington County

My Delaware research is on:

Crist family of Kent County

I am descended from Mayflower passengers William and Alice Mullins, John and Priscilla (Mullins) Alden, and Peter Browne.

I am trying to find homes for all of my unrelated memorials. I would be happy to transfer any and all of your relative's memorials to you, as long as they aren't my kin.

RE: Katy Schuler Bachman
There WAS a memorial for her -- that has since been replaced with a DIFFERENT Katy.

This is in reference to your discussions with Mark Bachman regarding Katy (Schuler) Bachman.

I was hoping you might have some additional information to help complete the puzzle.

Katy Schuler Bachman
I would like to include you on a discussion regarding Katy Schuler, daughter of Amanda Helfrich and George Schuler. Once upon a time, I had her husband as Thomas Bachman, which was supported by Find A Grave memorials. The Find A Grave memorials have totally changed to reflect that Thomas's wife was Katy Fenstermaker, and Katy Schuler's memorial has changed to Katy Fenstermaker.

I have found Katy (Schuler) living with her parents in 1910, married, surname Bachman, but cannot find her anywhere after that.

Can you help, please?

Thanks in advance!

RE: Alice M Detweiler

I am the person who asked for the changes to Alice's grave be made, and I am absolutely positive about this information. Alice's name was actually Mary Alice Patterson, and her parents were Abraham L. Patterson, b. 21 May 1830, d. 24 May 1883, and Maria Tinsman Patterson, b. 24 Sep 1833, d. 29 May 1885. They are buried in Lehighton Cemetery. Alice was the oldest of nine children born of this marriage.

She was first married to John Leinbach who was born about 1850. This marriage resulted in divorce, but Alice had adopted two sons, Charles T. Leinbach, and Maurice R. Leinbach. I am not sure when the divorce took place, and I am also not sure if these two children were the natural sons of John Leinbach. The census for 1880 shows this information:

1880 Lehighton Borough, Carbon Co, PA, ED #118, Roll T9_1108, pg. 421B, Image 492, Sheet 14B:
Patterson, Abraham, W, M, 49, Married, No Occupation, PA
---Maria, W, F, 46, Wife, Married, Keeping House, PA
Leinbach, Mary W., W, F, 28, Daughter, Married, Keeping House, PA
---Charles T., W, M, 8, Adopted Son, Attending School, PA
---Morris Roy, W, M, 2, Adopted Son, None, PA
Patterson, Abraham, W, M, 20, Son, Single, Laborer, PA
---Ida P., W, F, 17, Daughter, Single, None, PA

I came across a news article about a year ago, where the oldest son was killed in a shootout, and the article stated that he sometimes went by the name of Charles Patterson. I can give you that information as well.

Anyway in doing more research this week, I found a death certificate for George E. Simpson. He was the husband of Ida P. Patterson, one of Alice's sisters. On that death certificate, the information provided for George's death was given as being true and correct by a Mrs. M. R. Patterson. I did more research and discovered that she had been married to Maurice R. Patterson. In looking back over the information I had previous to this, I realized that Morris Roy Leinbach was the same person as Maurice R. (Royal) Patterson, so he too took the name of Patterson.

I came upon a marriage record for them in Pennsylvania records showing that Maurice's parents were John Patterson and Mary A. Patterson, nee Patterson. I believe I have the death certificate for John, who so far as I can tell was not a relation to the family unless he was a cousin of some sort, but I have not yet found the link to him. He died 19 Jan 1912.

I then found census information for Maurice and his wife Molliet as well as Alice, along with a new husband, Samuel R. Detweiler. Alice died 24 Jan 1918, and Samuel R. Detweiler died 12 Mar 1921. They both lived in Philadelphia at the times of their deaths.

I have not yet had time to transcribe all this information, but I have all the records (death and marriage) to back me up on this.
