*****On March 25, 2013, my father, Johnny Mar Wells passed from this earthly world to the kingdom of Heaven. I would like to thank Brian Presley for sponsoring Dad's memorial. What a blessing his kind gesture is to me. *****|
DO NOT LEAVE TRANSFER/SAC REQUESTS ON MY WALL HERE. PLEASE SEND AN EDIT. IF YOU LEAVE ANY REQUEST, IT WILL BE DELETED. SORRY TO HAVE TO BE THIS WAY, BUT IT'S MUCH EASIER TO RECEIVE AN EMAIL. ALSO, TRANSFER REQUESTS, PLEASE STATE YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE PERSON. IF I AM NOT RELATED, I WILL TRANSFER TO YOU.
I am currently researching every memorial I have to find any information that can make the memorial more valuable to others. I am going in order of the Trigg County Cemetery book for Trigg County.
Current Cemetery in progress: Cunningham-Trigg Furnance Cemetery, Trigg County, Ky.
As of 10/30/2014, research is complete at the following:
Trigg County Cemeteries:

This research is a long on-going process. I enjoy researching my family and learning about others that I never got to know. I am only here to find my family, but spend countless hours helping others -IT IS WHAT I ENJOY DOING. If you've not stepped foot in Christian County or Trigg County, then don't assume that you know more about a cemetery.
Family names: Stewart, Turner, Goodwin, Haydon, Larkins, Atwood, Wells, Boren from the Christian County/Trigg County, KY Area.
From Smith County, TN the Murray/Gibbs Family. The Murray line has led me to the Gross, Madden, Hewitt, Ferguson, Blossom, Roe and so many more names.
I am from Christian County, Kentucky. I lived in Cerulean, Gracey, and Hopkinsville my entire life until 16 years ago when I moved to Tennessee.
So everyone understands my memorials I enter...I am not a NUMBERS kind of member. I am a GENEALOGY kind of member. I don't like people who are rude and numbers people. It's about OUR family history being done correct. I maintain the majority of the memorials in Robertson-Hite Cemetery in Trigg County, Ky. Kathleen Boyd transferred them all to me after I requested the Larkins to be transferred. She maintains a lot of memorials as she has taken on her husband's since he went home to be with the Lord. I will honor and maintain each memorial with the highest respect. _______________________________________________
When I go to a cemetery that has my family members in it, I enjoy taking pictures of the entire cemetery (time permitting). I do not have any issues with anyone taking and using my pictures of the headstones that are in your family tree. However, if I have added pics of a person, please ask before you use them. If anyone has information on any memorial that I have added, please send me a note thru the edit link on the memorial. I will be happy to update/link family members. It's about our history.....keeping everyone together for our future generations to have.
Please visit some of my family and leave flowers.

Lord, help me dig into the past
And sift the sands of time,
That I might find the roots that made
This family tree of mine.
Lord, help me trace the ancient roads
On which my father's trod,
And led them through so many lands
To find our present sod.
Lord, help me find an ancient book
Or dusty manuscript,
That's safely hidden now away
In some forgotten crypt.
Lord, let it bridge the gap that haunts
My soul when I can't find,
The missing link between some name
That ends the same as mine.

You're so welcome, Brandy. I'd met her briefly at at pet adoption seminar/fair earlier this year (I live in Louisiana) where she was a guest speaker. My vets sent me a news article this morning that stated the suspect committed suicide at the murder scene. Thanks for adding her memorial. Fondly, Suse

Hey Brandy, I think the first requests were pending. If you don't get them let me know. I added her full name, her husband's name and her father's name (memorials).

I created a memorial page for Henry's wife Gertrude. It's memorial # 137534460.
Can you put a copy of the photo that is on Henry's page on her memorial page too? The headstone shows both of them.
(Henry's my first cousin 2X removed.)
I would appreciate it.

Yes, I'm sure you have the correct spouse, his WW draft regist. indicates his wife was Emma, and they are together in 1910-1940 census with only (surviving) child Elgin in 1910, 1920. So I will assume you will link them, I did send SAC to owner of Felix. You did a very nice job with their granddaughters memorial.

Maybe I deleted too soon, I just looked at the (excellent) photo and see Emma's marker has a placque over the section that probably was engraved with Felix name, with another name engraved (a daughter?). Perhaps Felix remarried and is buried elsewhere, but I don't have his DOB now since I deleted him. Sorry I wasn't more observant. As of 1966 I have notes that Felix and Emma had a double stone, his side had no DOD.

Thanks for the info. I moved them to the correct cemetery but see you added new memorials, so am deleting mine. Surprised there are two cemeteries with same name in same county -- but then we have two with same name "Hickory Grove" that are 3 miles apart in Missouri in same county. Talk about duplicates!
Sorry I was looking at the thing.

Hi friend, thanks for these photos, of your usual excellent quality. It is good to prove the surname. I suspect they were entered in the cemetery as "Wells" because maybe the "JE" was worn off, or it was mistranscribed. Anyway, mystery solved. Glad to see you are out and about...
