Obituaries
Hello,

We're not allowed to post obituaries as photos. Here are Find a Grave's FAQs...

Can I add an obituary to my interment listing?
You should not copy obituary notices from newspapers (or from funeral home notices or web sites) to an individual's memorial record unless you have permission from the newspaper to do so or you are the author of the obituary. Some obituaries that were published in 1922 or earlier are now in the public domain. In general, obituaries in newspapers are submitted by the family with assistance from the funeral home. If the obituary is added to the memorial record, it should list the newspaper and date the obit was printed for example "Published in the Hattiesburg American, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Internet Edition, April 11, 2007". Please do not include the names of living or surviving relatives in the biography, unless you have their permission. If you do not have permission to copy an obituary to a memorial, you may put a note stating the name of the newspaper and the date the obituary was published.

Please do NOT add photographs from obituary notices (unless you, personally took the photo), as they are protected by copyright law. Find A Grave reserves the right to remove obituary notices and photographs from memorial records. Similarly, you may NOT scan an obituary and add it as a photograph to a memorial record.

Obituaries for "famous" individuals are usually written by newspaper staff and can not be posted to Find A Grave as the newspaper company owns that copyright.

Please do not include website addresses that may be listed in the obituary as they usually expire within a year after the obituary is printed.

Imagine my feelings when I found the memorial you had created for this lady, one of my classmates. Upon a hunch I checked with the phone directory for Vernal, Utah and found that she's very much alive. I think what happened one of your staff, using the combined headstone of her and her late husband decided that because her name is on the stone but that isn't true. She had the stone made for both of them with all the information listed except her death date, not yet happened.
At her request I am asking you to remove the memorial you created for her. Find a Grave is only for those who have passed away.

Lenior at Conrod Cemetery
You might want to consider removing the Lenior memories at this cemetery. Number one you have 2 memories and number 2 this cemetery is Conrad not ConrOd.

Thanks

Identify yourself
Hello - I received an email from your location asking me to remove a memorial I created for an extended family member. However, no one signed the missive leaving me in a quandary about "I am a relative." Please check your sent email file and figure out who sent me the notice. I love to connect with family and would appreciate more information.

You have the obituary on the wrong person. It should be posted on Mary Ellen Hayes King: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=73647839

You might would like to change that as it's confusing.

Thanks

Just a note that this is an entry (with additional copy of Obituary) that duplicates a previous entry (with photos) by Colin Crapo of 9/26/2004, #9521752. Just letting you know of this duplication which probably needs to be combined by both Contributors. Have a good day.

Vernon Allen request
Good Morning: May I refer you to my personal Bio. on Find A Grave, Paragraphs 4-7, explaining my position on Contributor's - both as individuals and organizations - requests to post Obituaries, etc.. I will be glad to transfer any Memorials to those requesting them, when they do not meet my ability to either update or maintain them as explained. If you want further clarification, please advise. Please identify yourself. If I am to transfer my Fathers 1st wife to you, I want to know that it is still in the family. I have already changed the spelling of Patti. You can add pictures of the grave plot and pictures of Shirley if you have them. Mine did not turn out well.
