| Ache Alice Metz
I just saw where Ache's maiden name was Metz and she comes from the Wirt Co., WV area. My husbands family has Moats from Wirt Co., WV and he has cousins who use the Metz spelling. I'm pretty sure that the Moats and Metz are the same families so keep that in mind when you are doing research on her. I looked in my husbands family tree and can not find any connections but I believe the name change happened during the 1700's or before. the furthest I can go back on my husband's Moats is:

Joe, send me your email address and I'll send you an invitation to the "Wanette" tree on ancestry.com. I am pretty sure I may have the Riddle family on that tree. I started the tree because I needed a database to keep track of all my Wanette research on the families there. I add to it all the time because friends from Wanette send me new stuff all the time that they find. I will also look to see if I have any Riddle information that I haven't posted yet.
