Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Hildur Panula-Heinonen and I am a marine historian and genealogist living in Truro, Nova Scotia.

I have spent many years trying to uncover the names and faces of those lost in major disasters. As i have lost a family in the sinking of the Titanic, i feel compelled to ensure all victims have a name.I also spent a lot of time transcribing local cemeteries for genealogical purposes.
I focus my studies on shipping disasters, and if anyone is interested in discussing shipping disasters (to whom you will find on my page) i would be delighted.

Regarding memorials i have created: If a memorial has been created for one of your family members, ask and i will transfer it over to you.

RE: Jewish Memorials
So, what you thought Nazi Germans were Christians who hated Jews. I am a Christian and I care about people. No matter what belief or what race they're from-especially Jews. If I was back in that time, and despite of our religious differences, I would still tell that child who never got to live their fullest that I would still love him/her. We all can't tell who is Christian and who isn't. Only God can tell if people are true Christians or if they mock it. Clearly, the Nazi leader disliked the Christian belief and mocked it, his followers did the same thing. Because when I watched the movies about that stuff-what I saw was that the Nazis were Christian hypocrites. They were playing God. But really were doing evil things.

RE: Jewish Memorials
But what you said about the Holocaust victims were forced to deny their God and follow Jesus. I don't even think the Nazis themselves had anything to do with Jesus either. However, the Nazi Germans treated Christian belief same way the Jews did thousand years ago. The Nazi scum leader and his army didn't believe in God or Jesus. The Nazis also mocked the Christian belief. If you think the evil Nazi Germans were Christians-they weren't.

RE: Jewish Memorials
Some of the memorials, I don't add "Safe in the arms of Jesus Christ." Some, I did. But, really I know the latter of Jews don't believe in Jesus Christ.

Edna (Dartt) Kennedy
Hi Hildur,
Do you have a picture of Edna (Dartt)Kennedy and her husband Elmer's headstone? They're buried in Terrance Hill Cemetery in Truro.

Regards,
Chelsea

RE: Norge 1904
I didn't know you were Jewish. I knew you were Finnish. I just add photos of the children who perished in the Holocaust. Even though I am a Christian doesn't change how I felt when the Jewish people suffered and how the Nazis treated them. Just because I'm a Christian doesn't mean I would agree with that scum Nazi leader.

Which the youtube tribute I put of the children of Auschwitz is a part 1 and 2. It's called "Little Angels of Auschwitz-both have the same song from Seventh Day Slumber "When the Children Cry."

RE: Norge 1904
I really want to research a photo of what happened to the passengers in the Wilhelm Gustloff *that sank in 1945* and the Sultana that exploded in 1865. But, I can't seem to find the photos.
