Bio Photo My husband and I are avid geocachers, and have gotten in the habit of photographing cemeteries while on our frequent road trips throughout the Midwest. We try to fulfill as many photo requests as we can, or will simply snap a few shots of interesting headstones. Many of the memorials we have created were the result of photographing random stones and finding that they were not already listed on Find A Grave. If any of these memorials are relatives of yours that you would like to manage, we will be happy to transfer ownership to you. Just ask!

RE: James Ellington Photo
Thanks so much, his 3xgreat grandfather is buried here in Rockingham County, North Carolina. I put flags out on his grave when I can. He died during the Civil War, leaving a wife a several children. She pack up her children and moved to Indiana to live close to her parents and a brother who had already moved from NC. It was interesting to do their family tree as we distant relatives with a common ancestor Daniel Ellington.

Thanks so much for the gorgeous photo of his grave site. Do you mind if I use the photo on a family tree? Thanks again for going out taking the photo and then uploading it to findagrave.

Do you have any firsthand knowledge about the Vieregge family members buried at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery? I collected old photos of babies and small children for a while. I have one of a young child who is identified on the back of the photo as the son of John & Hermine (Wettig) Vieregge. The child's name is Raymond N. Vieregge. I see a memorial for a Raymond H. Vieregge in Colorado (#35157028). I'd love to reunite this photo with a close family member if possible! The photo was taken at the Welge studio in Chester, Illinois and is in excellent condition.

Thank you..Sacred Heart Cemetery
Thank you for your photo for Doc Peterein's
tombstone. I am working for family history and appreciate your help as I am out of state. Doc was a great guy and got "cheated" out of a long life!
