Bio Photo PLEASE ADOPT AN ORPHAN

I have many orphan memorials - meaning I'm not related and they need someone to properly manage them. Please check out the many orphan Myers in Saranac Cemetery in Michigan.

Ask for a transfer(s) by using the EDIT button on the memorial page and click on "suggest any other correction or addition." Make sure you put your member # in the note and your relationship. I transfer outside FaG guidelines so that the memorials can receive proper care from interested family members.

Thanks for your support of this site by your hard work posting, editing, adding photos AND using Find a Grave!

I have 16,000+ hrs of genealogical research since 2001 and specialize in the Great Lakes area. Love to help others find their families so if you need help, feel free to ask.

I leave flowers only when I visit a memorial and, lately, have been trying to remember to add my relationship. If I leave a flower or send an edit, I most likely have that person (or a close relative) in my own family database.

On 13 April 16, I created a new memorial token that says: In my database but not related. (To copy and use: see memorial # 147121403)

Question? Correction? Use the EDIT button and click "suggest any other correction or addition" (quickest way and private) or leave a public message. If I ask for your source, don't be offended: I want to add the source to my database.

The cat ate the bird (if you've read this profile before, you'll get the joke) so I'm only going to say life is too short, so live and love as if this is your last day.

Rose A Schlarf
I processed the edits you sent with information from her death certificate. Thank you for the information. Rose is not a relative of mine. She is what in your words is an "orphan memorial." If she is your relative I would be happy to transfer her memorial to you.

Thank You
I changed the death to coincide with the death record which was quite specific, and added a note for those who note the earlier year on the stone.

RE: Thomas Talbott Death Notice !!
Took me a while, but I returned to the library and found some additional information on Thomas. The information card from Woodlawn states that Thomas was buried at Woodlawn in 1928 and that he was "removed from Plainville, Michigan". I have a copy of the record if you would like me to email it to you.

Ann Harvey
Thank you for the information. I had absolutely nothing on her. Her parents must have been very important people. I've never seen a monument that tall for any "ordinary" person!

Best regards,
B.J.
