****Quick note to contributors/fellow Findagravers: I just started a new job and so I don't have as much free time to spend here...I will get to my emails to do updates/corrections/etc..as soon as I can so bear with me as I figure out how to balance my life right now...it's been a while since I've worked lol|
A little about me...I'm a amateur photographer/genealogist/findagraver as well as an extremely proud mommy to six children (3 girls/3boys) and 14 going on 15 grandchildren! One more due this year :-) I've been working on my own family tree since about 1994...not long after my Grama passed away...she raised me and so I do occasionally refer to her as my Mommy. Family that I am working on are Sanders, Denny/Denney, Cummins, Daglish, McCord, Heater, Galbreath and Lobb. I live with my best friend...my Ed as I call him! and our doggie, Jettie, and kitty cat Walter. I found Findagrave while researching our family and have been a die hard "Graver" since!
If someone has an issue with any memorial I am involved with please be polite and adult and send a note through the SAC feature and I'll gladly do whatever I can to make you happy! Leave me a rude hateful message and I'll first delete it and then forget about it. That way I'm returning the favor!!!!!!!
From Find A Grave's FAQ...
"The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."
I have no problem whatsoever doing any updates or links to my memorials and definitely will transfer if I'm not related and you have a direct connection.
I love being able to link up entire families as far back or forward as possible!!! It's like a big puzzle and I also love puzzles :) It gives me a great feeling to get one done! I always try to find a little information to add to the memorials that I create so that it is more than the mere fact that someone was born and they died. Sometimes I'm unsuccessful but believe me I usually spend some time searching before I give up! Stubborness I guess lol.
If I ever add a picture to a memorial that you would rather I didn't please let me know but I prefer to hear from the "manager" of the memorial

Hi, I am sorry but I do not believe I ever replied to you. (I tried to check to see if I did). If you want to transfer management of them to me that is fine. I will try to make you proud and keep it up correctly. THANK YOU, THANK YOU for all your work for so many people. Have a blessed Christmas & New Year. Linda

Thank You Colleen!!

Colleen, thank you so much for your assistance in adding some updates to members of the old Waymire family; specifically, Malinda (Waymire) Eytchison and Rachel (Brown) Waymire, and the links to other family members. It's a tedious mission at best but always good to see family members joined together in whatever manner possible. Findagrave seems to be a very fitting tool to find a name and follow the links to others.
Thank you for your hard work in helping us to keep the family together (you're no amateur).
|Preserving the Past||RE: John E. Waymire|
I viewed the census record link you sent on the David/Nancy Waymire household. First and foremost that is an 1880 Census Record and the David Waymire in question died in 1865. Also, as I messaged you in my edit request, David and Malinda had five children; Elizabeth, Amanda, Isaac, Elliott and John Harlan (in that order). The Census record you sent me, indicates that particular David's year of birth as 1845, when the David Waymire in question buried in Siglar Cemetery, was born in 1819. So conclusively these are two different David Waymires. Please view the following links on the same site; Marriage record, and census record for 1850 for David and Malinda. https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/27VG-CFP https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MHJ5-L99
P.S. If you also view the headstone photo you posted on their daughter Amanda Jane Waymire Jacksoon's memorial, it indicates she is the daughter of David and Malinda Waymire.
Have a good week,

Thank you SO much for the photo! This is my 4th great-grandfather, and its nice to know that he still has a stone, although its probably not at the original location. Some of these stones, including John's, are badly worn and will be unreadable before too long. Thanks to you, at least the image of his stone will be saved!!!
Again, thank you VERY much!!!

Just to check, when you took the recent photos, were the headstones of Salathiel O'Neel, Emily Reeves O'Neel and Charity Abbett O'Neel located in the Rockdale Cemetery or the Dupont Cemetery? I don't want there to be duplicates and wasn't sure which is correct.
