My name is Karla. I'm currently the wife of 1, mother of 4. I love genealogy whenever I can find the time to dive into it. 'Cause diving is what I do. Once I jump in, it's a long time before I can get out of it!|
I am researching KELLEY/KELLY in Georgia primarily, but find my ancestors came from North and South Carolinas and Virginia. My 3rd great-grandfather, James Kelly, had descendents that traveled from Georgia to Tennessee, Alabama, and as far as Washington!
I also research my married name CARDELL in Georgia.
LOVINGGOOD/LOVINGOOD is my grandfather Kelley's mother's name and they are primarily from North Carolina and Georgia.
CRAPSE of South Carolina, COOKE of Georgia, and DOCKERY of North Carolina and Georgia are other family names I research.
I love all the headstone photos that have been shared here, thank all of you who have contributed, and enjoy submitting my own information that hopefully helps others!

Hi, Karla ~ I was VERY eager to see Mrs. Kelly's marker as I didn't quite believe she lived to be 115...and, indeed, I've seen the confusion between 6's and 8's before; she lived to be 95, which would be quite a long time to most people, but disappointing to someone thought to have lived 20 years longer ~ :‹) ~ I did correct her age on her memorial, but not sure it's been accepted yet.
I love the snow, and don't mind having a snowman who's still partially standing in early May...plus I'm blessed to not always be living in the same state (remarks about "confusion" are appropriate :-)

Thank you, Karla, for the heads up on the duplicate memorial. I have removed mine. Love this site and thanks for all you do.

Thank you so much Karla for reaching out to me! I truly appreciate it, I tried my best be respectful and understanding. This was actually my first time encountering something of this nature..I feel bad for her and I hope I didn't upset her too badly. I wish she would have handled the emails better, as I was threatened with legal action in an email from her. But yes, thank you so much for reaching out and validating that I did things the right way! It truly made my day to get your message!

Hey Karla! It's taken care of. Would you like me to transfer her to you since she's part of your family? I know the rules state direct line but she is not related to me! :-)

I stopped by on a trip from St. Louis and found that little cemetery. I am related to the Kelley family and had a cemetery list with more names, but alas all of the stones are not there. I took a photo of all of the people named Kelley. I descend from Mary Elizabeth Kelley a daughter of James Kelley and Easter Adeline Love.

Since the other entry had all my information I just deleted mine. Thank you so much for your help.

Thanks for the info on Texas Kelly Miller. I'm happy to add it to her memorial.
You can find all of my research on the Miller side of this family at my website:
|Swangirl||Minnie and Doyle Bell|
I wanted to let you know that "Bell" is on the back side of the marker. I am so sorry I forgot to photograph the back! I am out there often so I will do so next time I am there. Also, it looks like Minnie died in February 1990 instead of May 1990. Hope this helps!
