Thank you so much to the volunteers who not only list the information but also provide a photograph of the stones.|
I'm 12th Generation American, directly decended from Thomas Chaffee (1635) and as such the Chaffee's and allied families are my interest.
The faq's are an amazing repository of information for FAG. You'll also learn a lot from the forums as well.
Do Not request transfers/corrections here they will be deleted. Please use the SAC feature by clicking the edit tab on the memorial needing correction.
To add an internal link in the biography, you would need to type
< a href="http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=XXXXXXX">Name< /a>
(I put this here because I use it frequently and am tired of digging for it in the FAQ.)
Thanks to DaurRegt (#47891223) for the idea on putting the link on the profile.

I'm reviewing Claud E. Hayden memorial, and cannot understand what the numbers found after the daughter's & son's names are there for. Could you explain? (823 ect.) Thank you, Eva Myrick, fellow Find A Grave contributor email@example.com
|Paul R||RE: Mt. Hope|
I plan to send FindAGrave merge requests once I have gone thru the cemetery. I think there are close to 2000 duplicates in that one cemetery. I will stop sending you duplicate notes and when I am done, ask FindAGrave to merge the memorials.

|Paul R||Duplicate memorials|
I am sending you a lot of notes of duplicates in Mt Hope Cemetery in Rochester, NY. I stumbled across this cemetery because it had a lot of memorials with middle initials/names in the first name field (mostly from one member). I sent him a lot of edits and he applied them. While doing this, I found that he had added around 4500 memorials (all last names beginning with B) to a different Mt Hope Cemetery (cemetery number was one different from the Rochester Mt Hope) that belonged in the Rochester one. I sent the member a note and after 45 days with no reply, I contacted FindAGrave to see if they would move them to the correct cemetery. They did but that has unfortunately caused many duplicates. There are about 500 'Bs' that are duplicates but he also created a lot more. There are close to 2000 duplicates in that cemetery. If you just want to ignore the messages I am sending you, I will have FindAGrave merge the memorials. I realize that your memorials are probably the official ones since they were in the correct cemetery first but I think merging them fixes the problem. Let me know if you want me to do something different.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
