Bio and Links
Bio Photo We work as a team: Russian-Danish family living in London. After a few years in the Middle East, we have now moved to our next adventure in China. County-keepers for England. Being long-term expats, we are very interested in all Russians and Danes who found their last resting place away from their home countries. We will be grateful for any comments, advice and links to memorials. Thanks to this wonderful website we have found many friends all over the world and the amount of mails we receive increase all the time. We appreciate all the mails and ALWAYS reply but sometimes it takes longer than we would like to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We prefer to get your questions and corrections through e-mail (use the EDIT tab in the memorial). Please include your own e-mail in case we need to write back to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: Trickett
It's either 1869 or 1870 - the death register gives 1869 and census records 1870.

If I get permission to photograph in the Russian Orthodox cemetery in Marianna PA can I send you photos of stones to be translated?

William Holman Hunt
William Holman Hunt changed his surname from "Hobman Hunt" to Holman Hunt when he discovered that a clerk had misspelled the name after his baptism at the church of Saint Mary the Virgin, Ewell; 'Holman Hunt' is his surname! MDP

RE: Herbert Law
We had both set up a page for this soldier, mine recently. I transferred it to you so that you can "merge" them and delete mine. regards

RE: Ticehurst
Sorry I am not surprised you were confused as I had myself confused!

Because I ahve been looking at both Ticehurst and Kent and Sussex Cemeteries and saw your photo requests I got confused about where they were from.

Having just uploaded photos from all the graves in Ticehurst as well I had a blip and thought that was where you had the requests..... sorry it must be my old age....and I am not that old.... oh dear! I definitely didn't photograph all the graves in K&S cemetery.... that would be too big a job...

So please disregard the message.

Incorrect photograph
On Memorial #56452642 you have added the incorrect photograph for the casualty. You have also added it to the correct memorial, for another Cox at Haidar Pasha Cemetery.

I have added the correct photo for #56452642 now, so i would appreciate it if you could remove yours from the page. Thanks

Hoping to visit my grandparents grave in Carleton Cemetery, Blackpool in Sept.2016. Do you have a photo of the above grave yet? If not, I will TRY to get a photo for you while I am there.

Sorry, had already sent an email message before I saw you prefer public one on here.

RE: duplicated
I got an answer from user Paulette Johnston Pate B. BTW now I also know what happened: Paulette had many memorials on a completely wrong cemetery, "Protestant Cemerety" (please notice that also the Englis spelling was wrong). I asked findagrave to merge the cemetery and that is why now there are many duplicated memorial. But Paulette just wrote to me (you find it in my profile): "Don't transfer any more memorials to me. Send me a dupe and i will delete mine. You have done all the work. Thanks, Paulette". So please, to avoid double communication, if the duplicated memorial is from user 46951405, just send her the dupe request. Regards, Elisa

RE: duplicated
the edit button works for the single field, but if the user ignore my request to update the bio, I have to wait as you said and then ask findagrave to update it. So I will not ignore your email, as you said, I will delete the memorial that are the same, I will not delete the memorial who are complete on my side and incomplete on the other side. And I will contact the other user. But if after a month the other user has not replied, you are free to forward your request to findagrave and they will take a decision (delete mine, merge them...) I sincerely am not interested in maintaining the memorials, I just want for them to be complete, I would gladly transfer them to the other user if that could help.
