Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm looking for the parents of Henry Aldrich who lost his life in battle at Antietam at Sharpsburg, Washington County, Maryland on September 17, 1862.

Mr. Aldrich entered the service from Bristol, Connecticut where he lived with his wife, Sarah (Peck) Aldrich and their three young children. He was 41 years old and working at the Bristol Clock Company when he enlisted on July 24, 1862. He was mustered into Company K of the 16th Connecticut Infantry on August 24, 1862, and was killed just 24 days later.

Mr. Aldrich is believed to have been born in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1821. He has been mistaken for Henry Alanson Aldrich who died in 1906.

Henry Aldrich's oldest son, John W. Aldrich also served in the Civil War, and I'm trying to learn who his mother was.

Thank you in advance for any advice or help you may have to offer.

Ira S. Bradley
My friend (sitting next to me) is the gr gr granddaughter of Ira Smith Bradley. She would like to use the photograph of the headstone in her ancestry genealogy. She would also like to know if you are related to Ira S. Bradley and if you know who his parents might be.

Thank you in advance.

RE: Hartwell Brainerd
You're very welcome! His marker was totally covered in wet leaves since last fall so it would not have been possible to get it in the winter so it was probably the earliest in the season I could have gotten it. It was actually good that it was wet because then the dirt was easily wiped away for a nice clean stone. I was wondering if his Surname had any connection to one of our larger Cities in Minnesota or if it was just a coincidence.

Walter Lake

You sent me an edit indicating that Simon Lake is not the father of Walter Lake, but you designate no one else. Do you have some evidence of this? As I did not set up the memorial I do not know these folks.
