I have been doing genealogy off and on for about thirty years and enjoy finding my ancestors. Almost all of the people I have listed are relatives in one way or other. Would love to hear from any family members.

I am a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of American Colonies, Colonial Dames and Mayflower Society. If I can help you in any way with membership in any of these groups please let me know.

Donna,
I just wanted to thank you for all of the information you have shared about the family of George Edward Davenport. He is my 2nd great-grandfather and it has been really fun to see all the pictures. I wanted to ask for your help. A few years ago my grandparents gave me all their old pictures. Among these pictures is a very old photo album. I believe the album once belonged to Anna Pigg Davenport because several of the pictures are addressed to her on the back. I don't recognize any of the people in the pictures. I was wondering if you might be able to help me identify them. I would be thankful for any help you can give me.

Samuel Ober
Donna,
Hi! I'm also a member of the DAR, Wyandot Kansas Chapter. I serve as Regent. I'm interested in the Colonial Dames and other organizations!
I noticed your photo on Samuel's memorial page. My Great Grandmother was Gertrude Ober. Some called her Gertie, Gerty or Girty. Would you, by any chance, have any information about her?
She was the daughter of John Ober and Sarah Jane McClelland.
Any family information that you could provide regarding the Ober line, I'd be very grateful!
I can be reached at cdolan519@gmail.com. I'm Carolyn Clyde Dolan (nickname Cari)
Enjoy your day!
Carolyn

Sorry but I do not have any information on his service. Writing St. Louis for info is on my "to do" list. Wayne

First, thank you for all the work you have and are doing with Find-a-grave.
In researching the above individual I believe your note attributing his mother as Angeline Pixley Lucas may not be correct.

I BELIEVE YOU MAY FIND THAT HIS PARENTS WERE JOHN J. LUCAS AND MARY ????????, JOHN BEING BORN IN ABOUT 1821 AND MARY BEING BORN ABOUT 1828. THAT IS BASED ON THE CENSUS FOR THEM IN 1960 FOR POLK, WASHINGTON, INDIANA.

I just could not fit a "second John" into the Reuben and Angeline Pixley Lucas family. In addition, I believe that his wife was a Bartle, BUT it was America R. Bartle (Maybe America Ruth Ann Bartle). In the census, her name shows as America R. Bartle. I agree she married 2nd Lee Burchett.
Thanks, Ed Marconnet

Opps, and I forgot, another tree has him buried in Rogers, Oklahoma and another as Indian City, Oklahoma. I did an obituary look up and didn't find any obit for him in the Stillwater Gazette. It would be neat if we could find some burial record.

I was just saying in my original e-mail to you is that there is no record of Adoniah Davenport being buried in Payne County. Also, he is not on the list of Civil War Veterans buried in Payne County. That list is very thorough. Also, other family trees on Ancestry.com have him as dying in 1906.

Have a good day,
Pam
