As morbid as others believe taking pictures of gravesites maybe..I find this website to be a "great tool" in making sure our loved ones who have passed on will be remembered. Even after we're gone. I am currently working on my family tree. It's a shame that I am unable to see pictures of my grandfathers. I have never laid eyes on my maternal grandfather and I was too young to recall my paternal grandfather. He past when I was 3 or so. Most of their siblings do not own any pictures of them or just do not want the picture to disappear from their possession. Which is understandable too. I wanted to use this site as an opportunity for ALL of us to place photos of our loved ones. Whom we'll never get to see again in this lifetime, but hold so dear in our hearts. I often go to cemeteries and take pictures of my loved ones' gravesite and others nearby so that they too will not be forgotten. Who knows, maybe one day their loved ones may wonder about them too. Smile...
Please feel free to contact me in regards to any dates, burial, or family info that I am missing or that is inaccurate. Out of respect for the living and the deceased, I want to be as accurate as possible. Please do not be offended if I can not get right to your request for changes. I too have a family and other obligations. I normally check my emails a few times a week and the request has been noted. Thanks for your understanding... it is greatly appreciated. :)

 | Edison Update I thought you might want to know that Thomas Edison Jr. is buried in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Newark, near the grave of his mother. See this link to the NYTimes:http://query.nytimes.com/mem/archive/pdf?res=F10C1FFE3559107A93CBAB1783D85F418385F9 | | | Margaret Gagliardi

 | RE: I can't thank you enough Margaret ... Cherye,
Would he have been buried next to any of those whose tombstones I did find? If so, I can go back and look in that particular area. There are so many unmarked graves in that cemetery or with graves that have covers but the location where the marker was placed is gone. Many of the graves are broken in some form. And many are just sunken areas without any marker at all. It is a real shame because it appears that that cemetery is very full. If all William had was a cemetery marker, it might be buried under the leaves and grass. I truly wish people would take care of their families burial locations, but some folks just don't seem to care. And it is quite evident by the condition of this cemetery. | Cobb Cemetery NC Hi, I took photos & entered the information into findagrave of all the gravemarkers in the Cobb Cemetery but I didn't see markers for the two you had entered. There were numerous unmarked gravesites there. CharlotteAdded by C. Rose on Nov 07, 2010 10:21 AM | | | Ellis McClure

 | Edison family I recently created a page for Mary Stilwell Edison (#54338324). That way you can link the inventor's 1st 3 children, Marion (#13618918), Thomas Jr (#13619086) & William (#13619187), to their mother. Thanks! | | | | [View all messages...] |
