Bio and Links
In 2009, I began documenting and photographing the graves at Mt. Elliott Cemetery, the oldest cemetery in Detroit. There are an estimated 75,000 to 100,000 people buried at Mt. Elliott and while my efforts will not document everyone, I am trying to do my part to memorialize those who are buried there. If you have a correction, addition, relationship link or biographical information to add to one of my memorials, please click on the edit tab and choose the Suggest a Correction option. I will do my best to make changes as soon as possible.

If you are requesting a photograph of a grave at Mt. Elliott and the memorial does not have the plot information, please call Mt. Olivet Cemetery at (313) 365-5650 and get the information, then post that information with your request. The cemetery is simply too large to locate a grave without the plot information.

Please DO NOT post a duplicate gravestone photograph to the memorials that I have created or manage. There is no need for you to duplicate a picture of a stone I already have photographed.

Photo Permission
Hi, Debbie.
I really appreciate the photos you've taken of various of my family members, like the Kaechle's, at Mt Elliott Cemetery. Could I have permission to use the photos both in a family history book (it's not for profit, just to share our family history) and on my genealogy blog?

Thank you for the volunteer work that you do! It is really appreciated!

Frances Purman,
Just a quick note to say thank you for adding the information to little France' Purman's memorial that I requested and for linking her to her parents. I was so thrilled to find a memorial for her, up to now the family has just referred to her as the little baby girl who died at 13 days. Thanks.

Andree Treyvoux Reuter & Suzanne Chevrolet
Hi Debbie,
Is it possible to request a link from Suzanne Treyvoux Chevrolet to her sister at memorial #52889216? Or should I request a link to their mother Marie Celestine Eugenie Burlot Treyvoux memorial #134290507? You might be interested in Andree's Bio that I just recently added. Thanks for all your hard work in helping us find our relatives.

Fireman photos
Dear Debbie,

Thank you so much for going out to Mt. Elliott and taking photos of my several firefighters who died in the line of duty. Your work surely makes their memorials more complete.

Best Wishes,

Josephine Boucher
Thank you for the information you provided about Josephine Boucher. It was enough to confirm that this is not the Josephine Boucher I was looking for.

Very best regards,

VanDenBroucker markers
Oh Wow Debbie! Thank you so much for the wonderful photos of my GG Grandparents markers and the additional no marker information for the others located near them. Your work is greatly appreciated. I am amazed with your method to clean and unearth these buried markers. Your volunteer work and photography is priceless. Thank You again.

That was really fast--I barely had the memorials finished and there's photo already posted. Thanks for going the extra mile and cleaning them up a bit.
And thanks for the plot photo as well...this really helps.

Thanks so very much!!
