Hello Richard,
Your Mom was my cousin, Uncle Alvin was dad's ( Ross Williams ) brother. You have done a good job on the family research. Alvin also had a sister in Sikeston, Mo. her name was Vadeen Holland. Aunt Eloise Bartlett was another sister in Memphis. She lived down the street from Aunt Lois. Each one of their sons now live in Gulf Shores, Ms. Ronnie Hill and WC Bartlett . Ruth Essary, another sister in Memphis that passed away.Feel free to contact me if I can provide you with more information.

Hi Richard
You took a photo marker for Mr McKenzie Memorial # 38794058. Do you know what cemetery that is in?

RE: Peter Martin Scott::
I agree, the death date is questionable. I wish we knew where the person got the exact dates that he put on the memorial. He has exact dates for birth and death. I think he has now passed away.

Peter Martin Scott::
Richard, what makes you say that Peter Scott did not die around 1870? I'm told that he was not listed on the 1880 census, but that his wife and children were. Peter and Jane Williams Scott were my great, great grandparents. I noticed that you wrote that they were your 4th great grandparents. So, that makes us distant cousins.

Your father was retired the year I joined. I retired in 1997 after 20 years in naval aviation.

I saw you left a little message with your token, re: his wife. I have been working on the Daniel family, and I would like to know if he was born in Mecklenburg VA, and his parents were Samuel Daniel and Martha Short? I am hoping I have found the right person, any info will help. thanks!

I tried to clean up the B&W photo and take the marks and folds out. I don't have a good program for this anymore, but I managed to make it look better. You can remove it if you're not happy with it. Ron
