Being both a genealogist and a "graver," I believe in tracing a person's history from birth to grave. Everybody deserves to be remembered; to have a marker or memorial to mark their passing from this world into the next. |
If I have input an immediate relative of yours (child, spouse, sibling, parents, uncle/aunt, grandparents - well you get the idea), and you do not want that person's memorial on this website, please let me know, and I will remove it promptly.
PROBLEMS/CORRECTIONS: Please let me know - I strive for accuracy. If something bothers you about a memorial, please let me know. I believe that the wishes of the descendants should be considered as well.
PHOTOS OF THE PEOPLE: I realize that this is a publicly viewable website, but out of courtesy, please ask before copying photos of the people.
PHOTOS OF THE GRAVES: Feel free to use them for your genealogical uses (but not commercial). All I ask, if you are using a photo that I took, please credit me as the photographer. ("Photo courtesy of findagrave.com contributor, B. MacBean.")
TRANSFERS: If the person is not a close relative of mine, I will be more than happy to transfer the memorial to your care.

The photo of Nancy Zumwalt Hunt is public domain.
If you are interested in this family, then you should read her narrative of crossing the Plains:
"By Ox-Team to California"
One of my Brooks kin married Nancy's brother, John Henry.

Aha! Knew your name was familiar. Just sent you a thank-you on Ancestry for being the one and only to credit Find A Grave for the photos used on Sarah Vincent Ridley. Figured you must be a contributor yourself. Thanks for all that you've done, here and there! --Harriet

|Sandra Bertram Meier||W.A. Oliphint's|
You are very welcome to use the photo of W.A. Oliphint. Thank you for asking.
|Janet Bertram||RE: Permission|
Yes you may use the pictures of Martha and Wilford Oliphant on your family tree. Sabinetown brings back good memories for me. My mom and I traveled up there from Buna and took the pictures out there. She passed away last year and I miss her going with me. She was my helper and cleaner of stones. She loved it until the end. She was 88 years young. Thanks for the work you do on findagrave. Janet
|Lynn Walden||William Fourby Photo|
You may use the photo that I took of William Fourby's headstone. I am glad you can use it.

Please feel free to use the Fritts photos. I enjoyed taking them. I walked by them several times, it was only because Elmina is buried very near them that I gave their marker a better look.
Happy New Year to you and yours,
