Bio

My name is Cherilyn, 38yo, mother, midwest transplant from San Diego, CA. I have been taught since a young age, the importance of history and documentation. Having been blessed with two aunts who have documented both my maternal and paternal trees to the 1600s, I have chosen to use my itch to help others.
Have been a professional photographer by trade.

Volunteer in the Kansas Room of the Independence Public Library, where we research and document all historical and geneological aspects of Montgomery County, Kansas.

Believe in hope chests, hand-me-down quilts and photos.... take them often, store them digitally, write on the back! :)

Current projects... Trying my best to fulfill requests in Neodesha and surrounding. Recently finished writing a book on the Montgomery County Poor Farm.

Old Projects.... recently comfortable with continuing progress on Gragg/Boorigie lines, documenting the Harrisonville Cemetery and working on getting the owners of the land where a cemetery is, to allow me to clean it up, fence and sign.

Geneologist, writer, photographer and mom. Feel free to email. Love questions and requests.
