I am a very proud Canadian of Loyalist stock who was shanghied by a gorgeous Yank who married me and brought me down to the States. Cemeteries have always intrigued me, so I find your website truly fascinating. I love my husband, my kids, cats, history, ghosts, murder mysteries, early jazz (1910-1935), opera, and anything spooky and old fashioned. | |

 | Bronze Statue of Buzz Beurling On September 1st, 2011 a life-size bronze statue was unveiled of Flight Officer George Frederick "Buzz" Beurling DSO, DFC, DFM and Bar (R.C.A.F.) at the Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton, Ontario Canada. It is placed in front of a Mark XVI Spitfire similar to the one he commanded. His brother Rick was in attendance. As Canada's leading fighter ace, Buzz Beurling had a total of 32 confirmed victories in his 4 years with the R.A.F. and the R.C.A.F. The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum is open every day except Christmas and New Year's Day. (It is a flying museum) Web: www.warplane.com

 | Duchesse d'Aiguillon Hi NorthStar ---
I believe you're in error with regard to the burial place of Marie-Madeleine De Vignerot De Combalet. This lady is better known as the Duchesse d'Aiguillon. There's a street named after her in Quebec City on which it so happens my brother-in-law owns a hardware store. The lady never set foot in North America.
There is a Hôtel-Dieu link, but it's with the the Hôtel-Dieu de Québec in Quebec City, of which she's considered to be the foundress. The Hôtel-Dieu de Montréal is a distinct entity, associated with a different religious order. ("Hôtel-Dieu" is simply an old French term more or less equivalent to "hospital".)
As far as I know, the Duchesse d'Aiguillon's remains would be in France, but unfortunately I couldn't tell you exactly where.
Best regards.
