Looking to save not just the names and dates, but the history.|
The family lines I am researching: Nagel, Brigham, Kleinfeldt, Gerber, Hiegert, Scheick, Clark and others.
How I ended up with all those veterans: The cemetery my paternal Great Grandmother is in lost her. They had it narrowed down to a section, however one day she was in the north end the next she was in the south. We spent over four hours searching. While we were there, I ran into a cat who was hanging out at one particular grave. (On the marker actually) I approached and the cat took off but stopped about twenty feet away and watched me. The grave marker that seemed to be of interest to the cat happened to belong to an Army veteran. I am not superstitious but if there was going to be a sign this would be it. So I started shooting the markers of any veterans I could find, and any obvious relatives. By the way did I mention it was Armed Forces Day?

Concerning photo requests, you'll need to stop posting the unacceptable statement, "Please don't put photo requests on my memorials, I will take care of them myself when the weather improves." Find a Grave is a cooperative effort by it's members, reflected by the creation of the "Request a Photo" feature. Your statement works entirely against this cooperative spirit. Memorials are submitted as contributions to the website and it's members, not as something you "own". Please refrain from posting the statement in the future.

Thank you so much! These were my grandparents and father.
Then thank you in advance!!! =)
You left a message on one of my photo requests that you take care of your memorials in a certain cemetery. Does this mean you will be fulfilling the request once spring hits Chicago?

I am very happy to have done so.

Book is Maryland German Church Records, Volume 3, Monocacy Lutheran Congregation and Evangelical Lutheran Church, Baptisms 1742-1779, Frederick, Frederick County, Translated and edited by Frederick S. Weiser, copyright 1987.
I prefer the written record that was contemporary to the actual event. Louisa Baulus/Bowlus/Dauben/Doub is a great-great-great-grandmother to me.
Great-- thank you!

Hi, Received your note re Sophia Basom - her actual maiden name is Hebner, not Hevener. That is a transcription error. I am a Hebner family researcher and this is my husband's family. If you need any additional information on the Nicholas Henry Hebner Family of Ontario, Canada, please let me know. Thanks and best wishes, Suzanne

Please let me know which Lanphear relatives you are related to. They are a prolific bunch and their names are so misspelled on records. So many records want to throw in an M and make it Lamphear, or Lanphere. I'm not related.
