RE: Chief Killbuck
I was so pleased to find another descendant of Gelelemend. I descend through Christian Gottlieb(Gelelemend's youngest son) his son William Henry Killbuck, his daughter Mary Jane Killbuck Marker, her son John B. Marker, his son Clayton R. Marker, his son Billie L. Marker and then me. The Delawares removed from Kansas in 1868 and settled in then Indian Territory which became Oklahoma and we have lived here ever since. Gelelemend wasn't the first native american to be inducted into DAR but he is the first Lenape. I am the one that applied and was accepted. I have been to Gelelemend's grave several times and petitioned DAR to mark his grave. It was a wonderful ceremony.

RE: Sgt. Leonard George Vaughan
I thought I'd best ask because if read through the recent messages here, a couple of contributors have got very cross with me about adding photos. Probably an English thing!

I know the type of cover you mean; I have seen them in Jewish Cemeteries-but I have never seen it on Leonard's grave. It is well cared for you may be pleased to know.
Do you wish me to photograph the graves of the four others you manage there?

I now have control over his memorial on findagrave, and I have re-written it. Is your husband, Alan the son of that name?
