~ I like to photograph grave markers so that a historical record is forever captured of those who were here before us. If you keep your family tree online, feel free to use any photo I've taken to enhance your tree. All I ask is that you make a note indicating the photo was found on FindaGrave. That way others who may not be familiar with this website will be introduced.

Taphophilia: an abnormal love for graves and cemeteries. The love of walking cemeteries and finding lost relatives and the gravesites of ancestors.

THE STORY TELLERS
We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors.
To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve.
Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before.
We are the story tellers of the tribe.

Many Anthropologists believe that everyone is a 40th cousin and that any two people can find a common ancestor who has lived since 800 a.d.

Discrepancy
Greetings,

Regarding Joseph J. Drzewiecki, mem #141576023 in Calvary Cem, Toledo/Lucas/Ohio, the year of birth you have indicated (1897) does not match the inscription on the marker (1898). Can you please clarify?

Transfer of Mary Labadie Aubry Memorial
Hello,
Mary Aubry - #154915294 - is my great aunt and I would like to add information to her memorial as well as link her to other relatives. Her brother, Wilford Laberdee, is my grandfather. Would you please transfer her memorial to me.

Thank you so much!

Stand corrected
Thank you for your reply. Had to go see for myself again. Ravine Cemetery is split in to two section one on each side of the ravine so I figured they were buried in Ravine. But than St. Joseph's is right next to Ravine. I never knew there were two cemeteries right next to each other. It looks like one big cemetery.

Leland and Helen Turk
You have added a picture of my Grandparents tombstone Leland and Helen Turk. But they are actually buried in Ravine Cemetery not St. Joseph. Both are located in Sylvania just down the street from each other.

I would very much like to know where the death information for Wilhelm and Theresa Humburg came from. Hope to find more information on them if possible. Thank you.
