George Lyons' father
Hello Gail,
Based on information found on William Allen Lyons' findagrave memorial (#102792502) along with Kentucky birth record and censuses, it would appear that the father of George H. Lyons is James W. Lyons. James was born on July 23, 1854, according to his Kentucky birth record. Although, his headstone and the 1900 census indicate birth year as 1855. He was the son of Milton Williams Lyons, (b. Oct. 21st 1827 – d. Oct. 24, 1862) and Nancy Branch (b. June 5, 1829 – d. Dec. 7, 1907). He was married to Fannie Biggers (b. Jan. 9, 1859 - d. Oct. 14, 1919) on June 29, 1882.
Hope this helps.

MaMaw Hawkins
Hi Gail
My Mamaw was :
Lillian Virginia Hawkins Maynard Williams.
She was born July 31, 1902 and died in August of 1985. She was the younger sister of your Eugene Clarence Hawkins. I haven't been to RBS in several decades and I have no earthly clue as to how Whitley cemetery is laid out. Please don't put yourself out walking acres of land searching for her. I know her first husband Fred Maynard is buried in Nashville, I don't know where her second husband Stanley Williams is buried. If there is an easy way or a short cut of some kind, that's OK, but if not .... well, that's OK too :)

Lyons Hawkins
Hi Gail
The updates you provided for Alta's parents have been added. The reference material ( from the cemetery) I used for her birthdate shows 11/27/1897. You're saying that her marker says 11/25/1897 Correct ? How do you think I should handle this discrepancy? Makes me wonder if there are others who have 'wrong dates'... I may just add a note to the memorial citing both dates and acknowledge that one is on the headstone and one is from cemetery records ...... ? I don't have access to her birth certificate

John Lyons
My great grandfather, Thomas Lyons, Had a son John Henry who enlisted in the Civil War and was mustered out in Mar 1864. I have been unable to find anything on him since then and was wondering if the Pvt. John Lyons buried at Crown Hill might be him. What information do you have for him.

Lyons, Cherry and Hawkins
Greetings Gail
Whew ! All the updates have been added. In the case of a repeat memorial for the Cherry /Lyons
I deleted my memorial so just yours is present. Altie & Clarance Hawkins are my relatives. I did add a note to her F-a-G page explaining that I have 3 different "correct" dates for her birth.
Are you in Red Springs by chance ? I'm looking for the grave of my MaMaw who is buried there.

Yo, Gail!
Both Brackens are yours. I'd appreciate it if you don't delete the obits that are already on the memorials. Someone else was kind enough to add those for me.
Happy Graving!
