Retired U.S. Army Warrant Officer residing in Cochise County, Arizona.|
My Virtual Cemeteries.
As the Graves Registration Officer for Cochise County, Arizona, for the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW), I research Union veterans of Cochise County. This takes me all over the United States. What I find that is not already posted I share with Find-A-Grave. Union virtual cemeteries include:
- Members of Tombstone's Burnside Post, G.A.R.
- Members of Bisbee's Kehoe/Stebbins Post, G.A.R.
- Officers who served at Fort Mason, Arizona Territory, during the Civil War
- Veterans of the Native California Cavalry (a Spanish language Civil War regiment)
- California Volunteers during the Civil War
"Siemsen Kin" Virtual Cemetery.
Deceased members of the Siemsen-Neuhoefel-Lemburg clans that originated in Dithmarschen, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. To recall Dithmarschen's years as an independent republic (1227-1559) the Dithmarschers used to inscribe 'Ditmarsia Libera Fuit' (Latin: 'Dithmarschen was free') on buildings, boundary markers, pottery, and grave stones. I have included it at the bottom of memorials for those who were born in Dithmarschen. (http://www.answers.com/topic/dithmarschen)
Casillas-Lugo Virtual Cemetery.
"Hey, what about my family?" OK, dear, here they are! Many of them were early Hispanic pioneers of (Alta) California and Arizona (pre-1848).

|Susie Thompson||RE: Durazo Photos|
You are welcome. The first time I called the cemetery I was told there was no listing of the name. The second time I called I was given the info. Would you like me to add the 2 Durazos I added?

The Section is called Original
The Plot is 168
The Lot is 9 for William and
The lot for Mary is 10
|Steve Burton||william stilwell|
The cemetery database says that William's wife, Mary, is buried next to him. I'll get a photo of her too, if they don't share a headstone; or I'll let you know if there is no visible headstone for her.
I'll try to get this done tomorrow, Thursday the 25th
