I am currently working with the Chinese Benevolent Association of Stockton (CBA) to document the Chinese Cemetery in French Camp. If you have any questions about this cemetery or how to support it, I would be happy to answer your questions or direct you to someone who can.
I have also done a lot of work surveying and caring for CENTER CEMETERY (Pontotoc County, Oklahoma) where many of my grandmother's relatives are buried. This cemetery is very close to my heart. Please contact me if you have any information or questions about it.
Even though I am a younger gravehunter, I have been a member of FindAGrave for over 10 years...a lot longer than most of the people who make the most fuss here. I have seen this website go through lots of changes, especially concerning the attitude of members and how people use this site. With that being said, just be patient, enjoy this site for what it can provide you, and appreciate that your relative or friend is being honored by having a memorial at all!
As the grandson of a veteran from Oklahoma and another veteran from the Philippines, I have a special interest in documenting the graves of Oklahoma vets and Asian-Americans.
I was blessed to grow up with many of my grandparents' siblings and cousins, who were some of the most special and important people in my life. Some of them have passed away and become my special angels in Heaven. If you have a chance, please visit my Uncle Millard (who got me interested in cemeteries and genealogy), my Aunt Emma, my Aunt NaOla, and my Aunt Bernice, who just passed away recently.

Thanks, I took it off the site and off of my ancestry.com. Several people put it on ancestry.com, don't know if you are on that but it would be nice to correct it there also. There is a nice photo of a Eliz. A. Dame 1817-1902 on ancestry also, little different dates and states and married to a Poor. I'm sure this adds to confusion for all.

Thanks, will check into that in a couple of days and correct, just got back from a 12 day trip to Turkey and am still jet lagged. I try to post photos that I have received in good faith from others and hate to make mistakes. elaine

Thank you very much Brandon, for responding to my request and posting additional photos of the cemetery. It is unfortunate that Lottie's grave is unmarked, but I appreciate the additional information and photos of the section in which she is interred.
So sad no headstone. But thank you for the pic.
Thank you for getting the photo of the grave area for the Johnson's. Your volunteer time is very much appreciated.

Thanks for posting NaOla's memorial. My family lived next door to the north on Caddo from 1958 till about 1975. I was born in 1960, the Woffords were like family to us and we loved them. Many of my fondest childhood memories include HT and NaOla. We had cookouts and camping trips and fishing trips and trips to Table Rock. We always watched wonderful world of Disney at their house on Sunday evenings. I was selling real estate when they moved to AZ and they ask me to help them sell their house. At that time NaOla gave me some Christmas Angel decorations, which I will always cherish, she loved to decorate the whole house for Christmas. She was a wonderful cook and was one of the nicest people I have ever known. I still remember her smile and laugh.
