Bio Photo I am a Fellow of the Manchester & Lancashire Family History Society and a member of the Society of Genealogists. I live near Stockport, Cheshire, England. I visit Manchester Central Library most weeks and can do look-ups there. I am also willing to visit cemeteries in the Greater Manchester area and take photographs of headstones, provided the grave number is known.

Obituary for John Walker
Hi Mike I do want to find a grave for the above, but I don't know for certain where he actually lived when he died, all I do know for certain is that he died in 1909 and that he was a Director of the Wallpaper Manufacturers Co. He would have been 56. His own company was Walker, Carver. The last address I have for him was in Macclesfield in 1901, but his wife lived in Pendleton, and the company was in Pendleton. His wife was Frances, so hopefully when she died in 1910 she was buried with him. But if you could look in the Manchester papers for me for an Obituary, I would be most grateful for a starter. If this is not possible, I will completely understand, so don't worry.

Manchester Northern Cemetery
Hi Mike,

There are three photos of yours listed under the heading 'Manchester Northern Cemetery'
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=2404097&CScn=manchester&CScntry=5&

I don't recognise that cemetery name; are they perhaps of Blackley or Philips Park? hope you can clarify,

Many thanks
MillysAunt

Arthur Gronnow
Hi Mike
Thank you for the kindness shown in taking a picture of this stone. Am I to understand that Robert Gronnow, the subject of the photo request does not have a MI? or that the MI for Arthur in on the grave for Robert? if that makes any sense.
Kind regards
Colin D. Gronow

RE: swinton cemetery
thank you-I have now e-mailed the Armed Forces Memorial people. I am sorry to say their records leave a lot to be desired, but that they are always happy to correct them.

I just wondered if the cemetery name they use is one they dreamt up.

I have completed a photo request- you might pick this up?

regards

Oldham's
Hi Mike, You once took me a few photos for William and Deborah Oldham and some of their children at Hyde cemetery. I was wondering if in your travels there you may have found other Oldham stones as well? I would love to be able to match up more names in my family tree and I know a large group of Oldham's might be in this same cemetery. Just curious. Also who would I contact to find there locations within this cemetery?
