Bio and Links
Bio Photo I enjoy using various records (death certificates, funeral home records, obituaries, church records, family records, etc,) to determine burial location for graves that are no longer marked. I think that it is especially important to identify and document these individuals, if at all possible.

I research many families from the Vale area of Carroll CO, TN; Mansfield area of Henry CO, TN, and also from Benton CO, TN. Main families researched: Presson, Turner, Crews, Watkins, Myrick, Cain, Flowers, and various associated lines.

I also research various lines from Hardeman/McNairy Counties of TN; Tishomingo and Alcorn Counties of MS, and Franklin, Lauderdale and Limestone Counties of Alabama. Main lines reserched in these areas include: Isom, Hurley, Paysinger, Brown, Arnold. Lastly, I research various families from Lauderdale CO, TN.

I am happy to make corrections or add details to any memorial via the "Suggest A Correction" button on the memorial.

I have no intent of commercial or financial gain from posting information on this site. I do this solely as a service to others searching for family burial locations for personal or genealogy purposes. I would greatly appreciate your cooperation in NOT COPYING my photos to other websites.

I think the man you have listed as Anderson Lyles is my great-great grandfather David A. Liles lon story short, i hope. He was living with his son Jisiah and daughter-in-law. There was a disagreement and he said he was goin home. Home i henry county TN. no one to my knowledge heard from him again, this was in 1910. The birthday matches with David's the "other" Anderson (David's uncle) is buried in cottage grove in Henry county Tn. I would like to see the death certificate i sincerely hope it is indeed my great-great grandfather. It woul wrap up a family mystery of epic proportion. Thank you so very much GOD BLESS.

If this is the correct Mahala, her mother is Lucy DeMoss Born 1807 Tennessee.

This is not my own research.

Here is a date source....

"United States Census, 1860," index, FamilySearch ( : accessed 3 January 2015), Joseph Cannon, Civil District No 8, Carroll, Tennessee, United States; from "1860 U.S. Federal Census - Population,"; citing p. 150, household ID 969, NARA microfilm publication M653, National Archives and Records Administration, Washington, D.C.; FHL microfilm 805,243.

RE: Flora Montgomery Photo
You are welcome. I was in the area for the holidays and I needed to find and photograph some of my own family. While I was there I tried to help out others while I was there.

RE: Peebles/Peeples family
According to 1900, they had 13 children, but only 7 were living. I have found 6 children and have submitted SAC, but may take a while before all of them show up. I don't think Oak Hill Cemetery and even Humbles Chapel Cemetery are completely researched yet. I don't live close either, but I'll try to stop by at both cemeteries this sping, if I get a chance. Research is just something I like to do. :-) June

RE: Lucy Wingate Taylor
Patricia, thanks for your help. Her full name was Lucy Ann Wingate Redd Taylor. She was married to Charles Redd and according to family records he drowned sometime after his youngest daughter was born, 1899. Lucy was listed in the 1900 census living back with her parents, Mary and James with the girls. She also was using her maiden name Wingate. Then she married a Taylor and I guess she moved to Tn. I don't know his name or when they were married. Does she not have a tombstone? Do you know where she is buried?

Lucy Redd Taylor
Hi PPC, Lucy is my great great grandmother, Thank you for posting her obit. I was wondering if you take pic of the monuments? I would love it if you could take one of hers? In your research have you come across who (Taylor) she was married to? I just found where she married for a 2nd time, but couldn't find his name. Thank you, Lisa
