One day while searching for my Weatherburn Grandparents We found the cemetery where they were buried. The Caretaker pointed to the ground and said "Here they are." There was no marker. I felt kind of lost at this time. I figured after all these people had done something had to be done so they would not be forgotten or lost to the sands of time. We have taken it upon our selves to build a family tree and history and put it where future family member's can find and appreciate it. We welcome all help in getting information on any of my family members we have over 10,000 names in my family study and enjoy sharing information. We have wonderful Conversations and traded info and pictures with family members we never knew. we would like to thank all of the people that have graciously transfered our relatives Grave sites over to us. My Corser/Courser family members number into the thousands and we are gathering information and pictures daily to add to our study of the Corser Family in America. We have started adding the G.P.S. Cords to the tombstones of the people we enter or take volunteer pictures for. This will help locate any grave without running all over the cemetery trying to find them. We feel this will be of help especially when the stones are flat in the ground, or the cemetery office is closed or has none at all. |
On September 28th 2010, I was in Berwick upon Tweed,England the home of my Weatherburn Grandparents. At this time I became a Freeman of the town of Berwick upon Tweed having been granted freedom of the town following in my Grandfather Robert Weatherburn's footsteps. I signed my name in the same Book he had signed in 1895 thats 115 years after he did,Just the site of his hand written signature, put my family tree into a totally new perspective. It was a great honor.
We will gladly transfer any memorial We have entered that Is not part of our family. We are very grateful for all the transfers of our relatives Gravesites so as to fill them in as complete as possible. Find a grave is a wonderful website. I have been with it since its inception and it keeps getting stronger every year. Al & Sandy (Cottingham) Weatherburn.

|Ross Poppleton||RE: Irving Corser|
Thanks for getting back so quickly.
Right now I'm looking for Nellie Poppleton's
Great grandfather on her grandmother Sarah's side.
His name was David Clark, born in 1777, from Danby New York.
Any help would be amazing.
|Ross Poppleton||Irving Corser|
Hi Al, 04-07-2015
Our family bible from the early 1900's.shows that Irving Corser, born in New Hampshire, married my relative, Nellie Poppleton, born in Oregon. they lived in North Bonneville Washington and are both buried at River View Cemetery in Portland Oregon.
Do you have any more information on them?
|Edwina Moody||RE: Marriage cert.|
No problem, I'm just that way. Never know when you'll connect with a new relative.
|Edwina Moody||RE: William & Laura Corser|
Did you get the copy of the marriage record?? I sent it to your email address earlier today and was just wondering.
|Edwina Moody||RE: William & Laura Corser|
Let me go back and see if I can find it. I can simply send you a scan so you'll have it sooner instead of waiting for the snail mail. I JUST saw your message and it's after midnight here in Arkansas. I really need to hit the hay.

I am so sorry about your cancer and am hoping things will work out for you. My husband had stage 4 cancer in 2007 and is now very well.
So many entries in the "Kokomo" Lindley Cemetery. I've been to the cemetery taking photos over the years. My family lived in Greentown moved to the Detroit area.
Thank you for your reply. I do appreciate it very much.
|Cat Houchins||Lindley Cemetery|
Do you understand why someone made another Lindley Cemetery in Kokomo rather than Greentown. I'm not sure how to get that town changed. Just curious how to go about fixing that.
Thank you for your time. I have many relatives buried in Lindley and Greenlawn cemeteries.
|Edwina Moody||RE: Corser-Dyer-Pattillo Relationship?|
Just one piece of information that I have that is a bit different from that you shared with me, the marriage information for Laura Amanda Dyer and William Henry Corser. I can find the document to prove my information if you need me to, but I have 14 Jul 1872 in DeKalb, Georgia, USA instead of Decatur, Georgia that you have.
Allen Dyer was born abt 1799 in Andersonville, South Carolina to Joshua Dyer and Sarah Stephens. He married Martha Reid Pattillo on 14 Mar 1826 in Monroe, Walton, Georgia. She was born on 18 Jun 1800, probably in Green Co, Georgia to Reverend Samuel Pattillo and Frances Hall. The couple had at least nine children:
Mary E Dyer b 28 Jan 1830
Alford Dyer b Abt 1831
Lucious Dyer b Jan 1835
George R Dyer b Abt 1835
Thomas H Dyer b Abt 1835
Martha E Dyer b Abt 1836
Laura Amanda Dyer b 21 Apr 1843
William Dyer b unknown
John Wesley Dyer b 20 Aug 1845
All the children were born in Georgia. Mary in Lawrenceville, Gwinnett, Georgia. Thomas in Monore, Walton, Georgia. Laura in Decatur, Georgia.
Allen Dyer passed away on 14 Sep 1874 and Martha Reid Pattillo Dyer passed away on 25 Nov 1879 both in Sulphur Springs, Hopkins, Texas and is buried in Decatur Cemetery, Decatur, DeKalb County, Georgia.
Hope this will be a good beginning to the information I have that I can share with you.

Hello, I'm researching my ancestors, the Pattillo family. Through my research of Samuel Pattillo and Frances Hall's children, I've come across the Corser family, IF I've researched correctly that is! I'm wondering if you could possibly verify my research that their daughter, Martha Reid Pattillo married Allen Dyer and their daughter, Laura Amanda Dyer married William Henry Corser. If I'm correct and you are interested, I can probably help you with research of the Pattillo Family.
