I was born in Ohio and lived there up until 19 years ago when my husband was transferred to sunny Tampa, Florida. In July of 2007, my husband was transferred again and now our new home state is Virginia. I am blessed with two children; Donny, who is enlisted in the United States Navy, and Carli Anne. |
In 1999, I lost my mother and very best friend. This left a void within me, that can never be filled. It is only while trying to locate my older sister's (Patricia Ann Johnson) grave, did it start my insatiable interest in genealogy. My mother lost both of her parents at a very young age and never knew her family's history. So, needless to say, all of this research information has been very enlightening for myself and my family.
*I must mention this important tidbit to anyone who is about to embark on researching their family tree. It is very rewarding, but it is also very disheartening, especially when making contact with a relative that still exists, who is unwilling to share information, or more importantly, precious photos with you. The essential pieces to your puzzle could remain forever incomplete. And so, anyone who reads this, please share your history with anyone in your family that is interested. We can learn so much from it, and we can give it as a gift to our children, and in turn, it will be a gift that will keep on giving.
Find a Grave is a wonderful site to memorialize those that have gone, the people that you never want to be forgotten.
If anyone reads this and has the time, please stop and leave a note for my mother,Gloria Anna Connor Kirby and my brother,John Johnson. It means so much!

I read your Mom's Memorial and I can't imagine the sorrow of losing such a precious person. All I can say is that I was touched and brought to tears when I read it. Thank you for making such a lovely memorial for your Mom and for sharing a little bit of her life with us.
You take care and May God Bless You and Yours!

Read your mother's info today and really enjoyed it! I lost my mother also in February of 2010 and I dislike it as much as you do! Mom(Carolyn Holly)was my buddy, we went everywhere together. It's just not the same now.

Ann, I wanted to let you know that today, January 21, 2012, your brother, John Johnson, was featured on the FINDAGRAVE SITE. I was able to read all of your family memorials after reading John's. I could read between the lines that you are a part of a very loving family. You have shared your feelings and by doing so you have impressed, encouraged and touched the hearts of all the readers. You have kept your family alive by your words and thoughts.
Sincerely, Dorothy Eckert

Hello Anne, I also wished to know the cause of death of your spectacular brother. He was very special and I hope you ok.
PS could you write his name on your Profile page so that we can locate him easily. This will help us to place more flowers for him.
