Kit (Elaine Page-Benson) attended Pfeiffer College in NC for two years and Glassboro State College in NJ for three years. She was a Law Enforcement Officer and Detective in NC for 10 years. She taught Special Education students for 9 years, and spent a year teaching students in a junior high school in-school suspension program. She now spends her time on nature trails, with quilting & crafting, reading, photography and genealogy.
Morgan graduated from the University of Delaware with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1972, and a MBA in 1984 from University of Scranton (PA). He spent twelve years working overseas in Germany, a tour in Operation Iraqi Freedom, and had a variety of assignments at various Army installations in the US. He's a member of the Civil Air Patrol, The Retired Officers Association, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. They live in Alaska, where Morgan works as an Energy Engineer.
Together we have 5 children and six grand-children. We enjoy sight seeing, visiting National Parks and State Parks throughout the USA, reading, photography, history, Volksmarching and hiking, learning and seeing the history of our great country, and GENEALOGY!

 | Rene deRussy Hey Kids:
You might wish to add Laura deRussy, born 1853, daughter of Helen and Rene. He was married four times, widowed three, and had four children with each wife. So we've got a few names to fill in, eh? While in charge of the defenses of San Francisco in early to mid-1850s, Rene was the engineer in charge of the construction of the brick structure at the point of the Golden Gate, Fort Point, now a federal historic site.
Hope this is helpful.

 | John Hart Signer Old and discredited information about Hart appears to be becoming prominent again on the Net. The definitive work on him is Cleon E. Hammond's John Hart: The Biography of a Signer of the Declaration of Independence (Newfane, VT: Pioneer Press, 1977). Also of great interest is Katherine Hart Frame's The Harts of Randolph (Parsons, WV: McClain Printing Company, 1976.)
John Hart was born in Hopewell NJ, probably in 1713 (the Stonington connection has long been discredited). He was with his wife when she died, and he didn't die of exposure, nor was his family scattered to the wind--although many of them moved away in later years.
I know there are some reliable sources on the Net; I haven't hunted them down in a while, but I have a little information at http://ancestraldata.com/ahnentafel/232/

 | Judith Barsi I saw your very touching memorial to Judith Barsi today. Despite what happened to her, good can come out of it and her page shows that very well. Thank you and for all your efforts.Added by S on Aug 28, 2012 5:40 AM | | | purple-lady
