Sounds good. I look forward to reading what you've found because I've never read the out-of-state articles. Good work!

Thanks for the great work you're doing.
Memorials for my G-grandfather James Frederick Miller (34285072) and my G-grandmother Elsie Carolina Spangler Miller (34284981) were created by Melvin Larry Miller, now deceased. Seeing that you created Melvin's memorial I thought I would write to you to see if you have the ability to transfer these to me, or at least link the two of them together. I appreciate any assistance you might be able to offer.

Sorry Long Black Veil, I accidentaly hit send before completing the message. I was saying John Weston Eskridge was his brother, and my gg-grandfather, with my great-grandfather, being Warren Wesley, Eskridge, my grandfather Clarence Eskridge, and my dad Lawrence Zinn Eskridge. I was hoping to get all of our great-great-great grandfather George's children linked. I have been searching for them all, and try to get them linked to their parents and their families if at all possible. I have a full time job and only can do my "graving" when I have the spare time. After finding a lot of information, and submitting it, hoping that the contributor will link, seems that most of them don't know they can hit process and the editing is done.. When i finally hear from someone, I have to back track to see what it was I found. This is a long process, but hopefully some day, we can get them together again. Thank you for having them, glad to see that we are related to them and want the same outcome. I made a visit to the Eskridge Bend Cemetery this past July, when my brother had suddenly died of a heart attack, named after my father, Lawrence Douglas Eskridge, and I walked the cemetery and saw all of my ancestors there.. made it more real. I wish I could get some of those headstones replaced, as they are broken and falling apart,, but that will be a job.. I live in Florida and only visit the area once a year, or every two years. Remember the visits to Rough River, and visiting my grandpa at his cabin there. Take care, and thanks for your help. God bless you and your family.. (Julie)

Hello Long Black Veil.. here is the WILL from the Kentucky Will Book (F) found in Harrison County, Kentucky (page 546 thur 547)
Name: William Kenner ESKRIDGE
Birth: 10 DEC 1782 in VA
Death: 14 JUN 1852 in Harrison Co. KY
Note: Information about William Kenner Eskridge was given in a series of messages posted by Jeanne Matthews on Gen Forum, Skinner Family is as follows: My info is Williamm Kenner Eskridge b 10 Dec 1782 VA and d 14 Jun 1852 Harrison Co KY of cholera. He was a school teacher.
WILL BOOK F - reads as below:
William K. Eskridge's Will, Harrison Co. KY, Will Book F, page 546-547: In the name of God, Amen. I, William K. Eskridge, of Harrison County and state of Kentucky, being weak in body but of sound and disposing mind, memory, and understanding. Thanks be to Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say, First, It is my will that my funeral expenses and all of my just debts be fully paid. Second, I give and devise and bequeath to Mildred Brusaugh the plantation on which we now reside, containing one hundred and thrity two acres, on the waters of Raven Creek, Harrison County, Kentucky, until her ingest child which she has had by me may arrive at the age of twenty one years for the purpose of raising my seven little children, which she has had by me since we have been living together and also to enable her to pau what little I am owing which is not much, and also for the purpose of raising and educating my seven dear little children which she has had by me, namely, George Washington Eskridge, Frances Eleanor Eskridge, Rebecca Harris Eskridge, Thomas Jefferson Eskridge, William Kenner Eskridge, Salinda Ann Eskridge, and Wilis Foley Eskridge, and when the youngest (I E) one becomes of age, I wish them to sell my farm and divide the money between my seven above named children after paying to my son Robert Pope's little Henrietta Jame Eskridge one hundred dollars, and also to my son, James Johnson Eskridge, one hundred dollars, which two is to be paid after the farm is sold and not before. And lastly, I hereby constitute and appoint Mildred Bursaugh and my son, George Washington Eskridge, to be the sole executors of this my last will and testament, revoking and anulling all former wills by me made and ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament. In Testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this first dayof March, eighteen hundred and fifty-two. Signed, published, and declaimed by the above named Wm. K. Eskridge as and for his last will and testament in presences of us, who at his request have signed as witnesses to the same. (Signed) Joseph Boone, Frances Boone, Judith Elizabeth Boone, William W. Rutledge. State of Kentucky, Harrison County Court, July term 1852: I Perry Meherritt, Clerk of said court, certify that the writing purporting to be the last will of Wm. K. Eskridge, deed was proven at the above term by the oaths of Joseph Boone and Wm. W. Rutledge, witnesses thereto, whereupon the same was established and ordered to be recorded, which was done this 16th day of July, 1852. (Signed) P. Meherritt, Clk. As James Johnson Eskridge also named a daughter Henrietta - would guess William Kenner Eskridge married a Henrietta. The only Henrietta I have found is Henrietta Lee - and as descendants carried the name Lee - would suspect she was a Lee. However, another family researcher named his wife as Henrietta Johnson. Perhaps her name was Henrietta Lee Johnson. George Eskridge m. 1) Frances Ball Kenner d/o Winder & Mary Ball Kenner. They had at least 2 children, William Kenner Eskridge & Mary (Molly) Eskridge who m. Enoch Foley. m. (2) Elizabeth Robinson. According to records, George served in Revolutionary War. 1820 Harrison Co. KY Census: William K. Eskridge - 1 Male 26-44 (1776-1794), 1 Female 26-44 (1776-1794), 1 female 16-26 (1794-1804), 1 female 10-15 (1805-1810), 1 female 0-10 (1810-1820), 3 males 0-10 (1810-1820). 1850 Harrison Co. KY Census: William K. Eskridge 67, teacher; Mildred 33, Mary F. 15, George W. 9, Mary E. 7, Rebecca H. 6, Thomas J. 5, William K. 2, Salinda A. 1.

I got my information from rootsweb as well as Ancestry. Below is a personal message that I found from a direct descendant of William Kenner Eskridge that mentions his sons from the marriage of Henrietta Johnson..

My info is Wm Kenner Eskridge b 10 Dec 1782 VA and d 14 Jun 1852 Harrison Co KY of cholera. He was a school teacher. His WILL named sons Robert Pope and James Johnson Eskridge and "others" He also named a grch -d/o Robert - little Henrietta. As James Johnson Eskridge also named a dau Henrietta -would guess Wm. K married a Henrietta. He was living in VA - on record of land grant pr given to his father George. Whether or not he lived in OH, I do not know. Problem with connection of his father to Eskridge line is date of birth of George and date of death of George's father. George had at least one bro - William who m. Elizabeth Scott. Geo m. 1) Frances Ball Kenner d/o Winder & Mary Ball Kenner. They had at least 2 ch Wm. Kenner Eskridge & Mary (Molly) Eskridge who m. Enoch Foley. Some info shows 3 children (3rd listed as infant)

My apologies to you. It has been removed.
|Rob||RE: Laura Jean Bischoff|
I went to high school with their son, Mike. Sadly, we just lost him, yesterday.
The info that I've submitted is correct; Jean was just a nickname and "V" was her middle initial. Her maiden name is "Schmeing" as per her marker and her son's obituary.
I'm thinking that the date difference on Norbert's marker was a cemetery mistake. Obit and funeral home records give his date of death as 12/28/10.
Should you ever figure out a viable solution to that time travel/spelling correction issue, please let me know! (Some people, huh? Sheesh!)
