Thank you for getting back to me. The dates just didn't work. But people get related to and descended from mixed up all the time, so I checked into how they might be related.. Winfield Scott's grandmother was was Elizabeth Winfield. If he descends from that line of Winfield's, then they could be related.

I am a descendant through the Rouser line. I have had difficulties researching his ancestry. I am delighted to see there's a connection to Winfield Scott. Can you direct me somewhere to trace the connection?

Did you mean she died on the 10th of Dec or on the 19th?
I wonder why she wasn't buried by her husband?

Joan - You are very welcome. You responded before I finished. I will post Vinny's ~ got interrupted. Ralph and Lucille Jericho are on the opposite side. I had to add Lucille. If you are related, I would be happy to transfer her. Just let me know.

Hi again, so I noticed that you are maintaining the records for the Ringlesby family in Chapel Hill cemetery in Scott Co. Iowa. I asked for a transfer to me of the Ringlesby family in Blue Grass to correct the errors. I believe I am done, however they are not my family. If they are your family would you like me to transfer to you? Let me know. Thanks, Debbie

Hi, I know I have spoken with you before. Hey I just noticed the above memorial. How sure are youall that he is buried in Chapel Hill? I wonder because I noticed that name today when I was in either Rosehill Cemetery, Buffalo, Iowa, Scott co., or else in Walcott, Scott Co. I have been looking, (for you I think), in Holy Family for Mary Winfield. So that name stuck in my mind. Anyway, it's possible I am nuts, looked at a lot of memorials today, but I am pretty sure I saw that name today. Plus Chapel Hill is almost all really old memorials. Just curious. Thanks, Debbie

If you have Ancestry access your Winfield line is well documented. As far as our Frisch's..Lizzie's Mother is Sophia Jacobena Abel-Frisch-Mast. Sophia's first husband was Abraham Abel..father of Jacob and William and others. He passed in the 1850's after the federal census as we find the family in New York City then. Sophia then marries Jacob Frisch..in Canada as Lizzie or her sister informs on the 1925 Iowa State Census in Davenport. Something you won't find on Ancestry is that in June of 1837 your great great grandfather caught a 175 pound catfish in the Mississippi River near Buffalo,Iowa. The fish was so big a neighbor girl told her Dad someone had killed their old sow. He broke the first prarie in Scott County for farming also.
If it helps..I am Jacob Abel's great granddaughter.
