RE: William Hoffmeister

You're quite welcome; it's a pleasure to assist.

Also buried at the same location are Bernhardt (1868-1945), Theresa (1874-1961) and Edward A. Hoffmeister (12/8/1899-2/7/1900). If you would like to add memorials for these, I would be happy to add photos to the memorials.

I've only just started to research my family. I just came across you picture of my great-great grandfather's stone in the Old Fort cemetery. I was just there this past weekend but I didn't find much. It was to hot to explore to much especially if you don't know where to look.

RE: Malinda Dorguth

You're quite welcome. Also buried there are Fred Dorguth (1875-1931) and Adam Strippy ("Husband", 1848-1890). If you would like to created memorials for these, I can upload the photos.

RE: So if you are John F Teufel's 2nd cousin
btw, using a handy-dandy lineage chart, I figured out that you are my 4th cousin, once removed (up)!

RE: So if you are John F Teufel's 2nd cousin
Oh I'm so confused.

Is there a third John?

John William was crippled. (1864-1943)

His son was John Frederick. (1892-1960)

Is there a John older than John William?

RE: So if you are John F Teufel's 2nd cousin
Yes! I'm related to two Charles Mewshaws. One is my grandfather, Charles Thomas John Mewshaw (1917-2012) and the other is my Uncle Chuck who lives in Annapolis now.
I know that John William was the father of John Frederick, who was an undertaker. I figured out yesterday that a school I helped found in 2005 was about two blocks from the location of their first funeral home, and their second location is about a block from my doctor's office. So cool!
So Lambert was John Frederick's brother? John Frederick was 'crippled' according to family lore and the WW1 draft registration cards.
I do have an ancestry account- it is under my real name- Melanie Maisey- that tree is called Mewshaw Lineage.
Thank you for responding so quickly!
(this is so exciting!)

So if you are John F Teufel's 2nd cousin
and he is my 2nd great uncle (or great grand uncle)--- then what are we to each other?
Hi, I'm Melanie. John's sister Marguerite is my great grandmother- we all called her Bammy- I don't actually remember why.
I'm also a bit stuck in our family tree on the Teufel side. I have John Frederick's father, John William, but my trail ends there.

So excited to see people here with real connections. :-)

Anna May Brumley Jones 46486039
Married Charles Barton Jones Oct 27, 1886 in Central Bridge, N.Y. by the Rev Ebenezer Comstock.
(CHARLES NAME IS ON THEIR HEADSTONE BUT HE IS NOT LISTED ON FIND A GRAVE...can you make a memorial for him? I've made about 800 edits to relatives memorials but have not opened one yet) She was the third of nine children of Edwin Ruthvan Brumley and Amanda Lowne. My records show the first 3 and the last were born in Sloanville, N.Y. and the others born Central Bridge, N.Y.
Edwin Ruthvan Brumley was a blacksmith.
His parents were Calvin Barstow Brumley and Nancy Hamm, 6th of 8 children. Calvin was the son of Adin Brumley born 1764 married Thirza Rix married March 23, 1787 in Preston, CN. Adin was the son of Israel Brumley born 1732 and Anne Robbins and his father was William Brumbley born April 12, 1693 and his wife Elizabeth Dewey.

You may already have this information or it may not be of interest to you but I got stated and it just keeps going back to the first Luke Bromley who came to America who we are both related to.
The information comes from the book Bromley Genealogy by Viola Bromley copyright 1911.
Thank you very much
