Charles Polk's Mother's Lineage
I thought you and others visiting Charles Polk's Findagrave site might like to know this.

Although I do not know where Charles Polk's parents are buried, I have done some research on their lineage. Charles Polk's sister Sarah Polk Piety is my ancestor. Their mother, Christian Cartledge, is the daughter of Edmund Cartledge and Ann Richardson. Our cousin Christie Ann Hill Russell wrote a well-researched article on their lineage--see http://www.cartar.com/papers/cartledge/cartledge.htm

Mary Need Cartledge is a gateway ancestor to Magna Charta lineage.

I have a Rootsweb database named "Abeln" with the sources I've found on this lineage. I will be happy to share copies, by email or snail mail!

Philip Mantor at Arlington
Hi, I happened by your brother's stone yesterday at Arlington National Cemetery and was intrigued by the back of the stone, so took photos and just posted them on his page. I hope you will take pride in seeing them. Thank you!
