Thank you! My great uncle had the date wrong in the genealogy book. He traced our Raithel heritage all the way back to the 1400's in Germany!

Nadeen;

First off, a big thank you for your dedication to Find a Grave and for your help to others doing research. I been doing research for about 15 years, but unfortunately, cannot do the roaming around cemeteries as I used to.

I have figured this out from your notes and the 1870 census for Wisconsin.

Mother and Father are Jacob and Mina Kiefer, as you assumed.

This has been the weekend for the happy dance. We were camping up in GA for 3 weeks, so were without internet access during the time. I came home to several thank you notes from the American Civil War forum. In Feb. I had come across a grave marker for a CW veteran from an AL company in an antique shop in Fl. and was horrified to find it. I contacted this forum because I had no idea where it had come from. A relative from NC happened across the site and saw the posting. They contacted a CW veterans org and the org contacted the antique shop and informed them that it was illegal to buy or sell veterans markers. The family came to FL from NC to retrieve the marker and then returned it to AL! Such a sense of accomplishment. All the plodding through mud has paid off for someone. And I was repaid by a relative in Ireland responding to a post of mine from 10 years ago. My grandmother was sister to her gr grandmother. I've already started plans to visit next spring! So this crazy hobby of ours does provide a grat deal of satisfaction.

Again, thank you for all you researach andhelp.

Hi Nadeen,Just wondered how you are connected to the Brunette family? Susie Brunett was my grandmother, my mother's mother. Dorothy Brunett was my mother's sister.

Are you able to tell me who else is buried in the family plot of Flora Dillon?
