Thank you for visiting my father on his Angel Day. It was a very emotional day for me, as it was also Father's Day here in Australia.
When my dad and other young men of his generation volunteered to go off to serve in WW2,their hope other than to survive their POW time to return home, was that they were ideally bringing Peace and stability to the world.
Unfortunately, this was not to be, and so many hundreds of young men have since lost their lives trying to keep those ideals in this increasinly violent world.
