I'm interested in family ancestry through the names of Kyle, Hawkins, Petty and Cantrell. I grew up in the upstate of South Carolina. Through this website I connected with one distant cousin already! How exciting!! I know there are others. It is difficult creating that perfect Family Tree because at times the spelling of names was changed, apparently by the census takers mistakenly. It also appears the individuals just took on that new spelling of their name without question? Anyone who connects me to your family tree, please contact me so we can share information we've compiled. God bless you all!
Loretta Hawkins Petty Sweeney
(Sweeney is the name of my present husband & not the husband of my children, so I don't need information on the Sweeney ancestry)

Rosa Murray Kyle Clayton
Looks like we maybe in the same family tree. My Great Great Grandmother was Rosa Murray Kyle Clayton. My Great Grandmother Dosha Kyle Corn was her daughter. When I was around eight yrs. old we all lived in the same house. I have been working on family trees and have just began to work on the Kyle and Murray trees. Which branch are you from?

Mary M Shipman
You sent the following:

"I believe I found Mary Malissa Shipman, married to Thomas H. Murray & his parents William Murray & mother, possibly a Heaten (no first name)."

Do you have a date of birth range for Thomas and Mary. It is hard to get started without them, also William birth date range would be helpful and what state they were born in.

I found this:

residence: 1880 Boyd, Transylvania, North Carolina, United States
spouse: Mary M. Murray

Great grandmother
Hello. I finally found the obit of Mrs. William J. Hawkins, buried in Campobello Methodist Church Cemetery, but it does not give her first name or maiden name. It just says Mrs. J. W. Hawkins which is what William J. Hawkins went by. Is it possible for you to furnish me with the name of J. W. Hawkins wife, thanks for you time and consideration, regards.
