Bio and Links
Bio Photo Have been doing genealogy with my mom, Beth Robinette for several years. I love going to cemeteries and photographing the graves. My main lines of interest are Bloomer, Lane, Johnson, Hammonds, Peters, Penley, France, Herron, Roberts, Holmes, Napier and Robinette. Most are located in and around Scott Co. If you have relatives in Scott Co., you are most likely related to me. Since most of the people of Scott Co., are related somehow. I'm sure it is like that in a lot of places but it is prevalent there. My husband Ricky helps me but he does not have a Find A Grave profile. So we just both use this one, though he doesn't want credit (:My mom takes care of the rest (: Most of which are in Carroll and Grayson Co., VA

PHOTO VOLUNTEERING AND PHOTOS IN GENERAL:I keep ALL my photos. So if you would like the higher resolution let me know.NOTE: I may or may not have it now. I deleted some of my photos before I made a disc.

EDITS AND OTHER INFO: Please use the edit tab on the memorial. I will respond ASAP. I am not on the computer daily so it may take me a few days to respond, but I will respond. I LOVE getting new information.

DUPLICATES: I try my best not to do this. But if I have please let me know and I will delete it, if mine was made after the duplicate in question. Please do not make duplicates if you all can help it. I have read through some member profiles and they have actually been berated for doing this. We all are human and make mistakes. Please be nice (:

MEMORIALS I MANAGE: I try me best to connect everyone. Sometimes this isn't possible due someone else that has a memorial I need to link to and they have not responded. I usually will then try and hyper link them. This is the code:< a href="">Name< /a>XXXXXXX is where you put memorial number. You will also have to delete the space between < and a in the beginning and end of the code.

CEMETERIES I AM WORKING ON:1. Depews Chapel. I photographed the entire cemetery and am adding photos and memorials.2. Lawson Confederate Memorial. I am going through and adding more info.3. Quillin Cemetery. I am adding more info.

NOTE: I try and omit living survivors from obituaries I post, except for my line and those which are several years old. I know it is public record but I don't want to upset anyone. If I have forgotten to omit and you want them removed, let me know. Also I have posted obituaries in the pictures section. I just found out last month (April 2013) that F.A.G. does not want this done. I think I have removed most of them off my memorials, but if I have put one on your memorial please let me know and I will remove it. Most are from the 1920's-1970's.I have no way of knowing which ones I put them on. I wish F.A.G would let us access the pictures we posted. It is in the profile section. I was trying to be helpful. I'm sorry ):

NOTE: I type up the obituaries EXACTLY how they are written, mispellings and all (:

Dear Ancestor Your tombstone stands among the rest; neglected and alone The name and date are chiseled out on polished, marbled stone It reaches out to all who care It is too late to mourn You did not know that I exist You died and I was born. Yet each of us are cells of you in flesh, in blood, in bone. Our blood contracts and beats a pulse entirely not our own. Dear Ancestor, the place you filled one hundred years ago Spreads out among the ones you left who would have loved you so. I wonder if you lived and loved, I wonder if you knew That someday I would find this spot, and come to visit you. Author -Unknown

Thank you for all you have done to provide information about our veterans. We are Union County Cemeteries Association (of Tennessee.) We are a very small all volunteer organization dedicated to preservation of our rural history and cemeteries. During the final year of the sesquientinal we are trying to honor our soldiers by posting photos of the final resting places of the CW soldiers from Union Co. Tn. We request permission to use your photo of one of our CW soldiers, Marion Harrison Dyer, on our UCCA website and on our Facebook page. You would be given full credit for these photos. We use both of these as tools to recruit new members. Would you please consider this request?

RE: Mountain Home
Crystal, I hope all is well. I saw the picture requests came open again and since I was there today putting down a few early Wreaths Across America wreaths for the 13 war dead there, I took some photos. I retook Darrell's and added it since the light was good and the grass is down and posted it. If you don't like it, please let me know and I'll remove it or after you take one I can also remove. You won't hurt my feelings one bit.

The Wreaths Across America ceremony will be held here tomorrow, Sat, 13 Dec at 12pm (noon) at the cemetery, if you're free. Allen

RE: Clara Ruth Wheatley photo request
Hi Crystal,

Thank you so much for your efforts.

I really cannot tell you how thoughtful it was for you to go to so much trouble.

If you can email me the birthday party photo that would mean so much to my mother and me.

Thank you! Sheila

How are you related to the Lane family? I see that you have a picture of Carson L. Lane from Kingsport, TN and we're related to him, as well. :)

Hello Crystal, I've already been to the cemetery on Thursday and took what I could. You'll find the two in the SS section are not up yet, the UU one has no grass behind it and I didn't think it looked right to just show dirt and the II and KK sections are under renovations and are just mud and dirt, so take a pair of shoes you don't mind messing up. I also didn't take the LL one since the light was right at that time. Better luck and thanks for taking the time for families so they can see their loved ones markers. Sincerely, Allen

Thanks for what your doing, I'm researching family history from out of town & your photos help when I can't go in person. You posted a photo of a marker for David Grills (Depew Chapel). I am a descendant of his brother, Noah & looking for there parents', William & Jane, grave sites. Would be overjoyed if you run across them. Thanks
