Bio Photo I'm an avid genealogist and long time member. I'm doing what I can in my local area to help document cemeteries for
Ancestry members to search and locate their ancestors graves online. I try to take the best photos that I can, in the best light, including all of the stone information and often return for better photos for my memorials. If you would like a better photo taken, or more information on your family member, don't hesitate to ask.

RE: Zimmer @ Blue Hill Braintree
Hi Jody, I did explain to Brian and his wife whet the Memorial was about. I did not have the photo request in hand so was not able to tell him who had made the request...He understood however it was a " family member " making the photo request. What I can do is add the photo of him @ his Dads grave and if I am requested I can take it down....I will add the photo I took of his Mothers grave as well. all the best, Ed

Zimmer @ Blue Hill Braintree
Hi Jody, while I was @ the cemetery yesterday I happened to meet Mr Zimmers son Brian and his wife who were there to pay respects....He asked if I would take a photo of himself @ the grave which I did. I did not want to add it until I got an OK from you ?...The Son Brian also took me to his Mothers grave which is a short walk from the Father (Mr Zimmers) and I took a Photo of his Mothers headstone as well. If i got the story right Mr Zimmer divorced and remarried. The first wife is Maureen T. Zimmer " beloved mother " 1939-1995..Should I keep the photos separate and create a memorial for Maureen ? and shouldI add the Photo of the Son Brian @ his Fathers Grave marker ? I have not been volunteering long but this was the first time I actually came across a relative of someone I was there to take pics of !!! PS/ I did complete the request for Arthur Zimmer

RE: curious
Dear Jody . . .

No. AMP never gave me the memorials, nor did he or she ever respond to my transfer requests. But that's not that unusual. Sometimes people take a long time to respond (like months).

Once, there was a woman who asked me (usually I have to ask) if I would like to have one of her memorials which I sponsored. I was thrilled, so I answered, "Yes, thank you!" right away. I never heard from her again, nor did she transfer the memorial to me.

Weird, huh?

Well, I hope you get a favorable response, Jody. Have a great week.

Kind regards,

Any more info?
I recently found you submission for my grandfather on I never had the chance to meet him when he was alive and have been unable to gain any real info on his life after he and my grand mother divorced many years ago. My father will never talk about him and I've gotten very little information from my grandmother. I didn't even know where he was buried until I found this. Thank you for that.

Baltuskonis Gravesite at Melrose Cemetery
Good morning Jody,

I noticed you posted the information regarding Victor and Ciprijonas Baltuskonis' graves (Melrose Cemetery) in Brockton. They were actually my great uncles. You have them listed as spouses, but they were actually brothers. Thought I would let you know for accuracy purposes. Thanks for posting their information on the website!

RE: Melrose documentation
When, in a moment of madness, I began this project my plan was to work from the south wall and stop at the north entrance (the wide road). I have completed the following: all sections labeled South anything, the Legion lot (WWI), Front div, Tombs, Office and all Central sections, the three singles bordering the Frog Pond, Old Cemetery West and section M, North div #'s 1-23,Civil War and Span-Am War lots, North div and North A, Mulberry, North H, the Rock Garden and North B and BA.
I am currently posting North C and CA.
I thought that the Old Cemetery might be a good group project if the "Friends of" group came to fruition.
I hope this helps.

RE: Louise Gonzalves #105175165
Jody, thanks for the heads up. Let me check into this further. It certainly looks like a duplication. I'll let you know soon. I gather you noticed the two variant spellings of the surname, namely Gonzalves and Gonsalves. The dates certainly seem to match. I'll get back to you ASAP. Thanks again. - Bill Kordas (#47349156)

Thank you very much for the picture of the headstone. My friend that I put the memorial up for this is her grandfather. She was very happy to see this request fulfilled.
