I have always loved a mystery and strive to "figure it out".|
Being adopted I did not know my history until 1993. Immediately I researched all lines and am proud to be a member of the DAR and the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century.
Helping others with their search into their past is very satisfying.
If you wish to use my photos you just need to acknowledge where you obtained the photos and from whom. Do not take credit for work you have not done or photos you have not taken.

Thanks....I haven't made any changes, felt sure of the obit's information. You've gone above and beyond the call of duty, so to speak. I certainly appreciate it.

This memorial was created from his obituary. If he is not buried there, then I guess the obituary is incorrect. The obituary was pasted as is from the newspaper. So, maybe the funeral home or a death certificate for support?

Thanks for the info about Friendship Cemetery. My Dad was stationed at Fort Meade, MD in the early 1960's. I went to Anne Arundel High School & my best friend married Arthur Guy Shipley after graduation. He died rather young, but she & I have remained friends all these years. I often do genealogy & findagrave searches for my family & friends.
I'll take a look at the other Shipleys buried @ Friendship. I'm not related, so no need to transfer to me. The new Find A Grave editing system really helps to get additional info put on memorials. I try very hard to get relationship links added. Years ago, families stayed close all their lives; but as you know, not so much now. As a military kid, I never knew where alot our family members were buried. I remember my parents being sad they couldn't go to funerals when we were overseas.
The best thing about our life was the family were great letter writers.
Anyway, thanks again,

Thank you so much for the headstone photos of R.O. Shipley, his 1st wife Wilhelmina & 2nd wife Annie.
Nice of you to create a Find A Grave Memorial for Wilhelmina...didn't know where she was buried.
Those stones (marble?) with blue highlighting & nicely raised block lettering seem very durable.
You must see quite a lot of variation?
Your efforts are greatly appreciated by the family.
Thanks for the quick photo response.

Thank you so much for taking your time to photograph Aunt Rachel's gravestone. It is greatly appreciated.

I have looked and looked and cannot find further info on that Samuel and Ruth C Thomas who are buried at Meadowridge Memorial Park. It'd be nice to find if either one are related to the STRINE family. That would explain why they are buried by George David Strine and wife Rosa.
I edited George David Strine #143277564 and created memorial for his wife, Rosa "Rose" Ann (Zeiler) Strine #144445284 and placed a photo reflecting "GRAVE HAS NO MARKER" for both.
If I come up with anything further on any of these folks, I will let you know. But I have hit a brickwall for now.
Thank you for all of your help.

Thanks for trying.
I found that they both owned the plot but she is not there.
Funny thing: I called the funeral home cemetery and they said they couldn't find him buried in there.
My dear a picture is worth a thousand words.
The lady kept telling me I was wrong until she saw the one you posted.
That was to funny.
What do we know right. LOL.
