Smith-Hatfield marriage
I would imagine if you contacted Pike County, Kentucky you could order a copy of their marriage record which might give more information. Or you could contact a Pike COunty KY genealogy society to get more info too. It does make one curious to find out for sure, doesn't it!@!??

Alfred M. Hatfield d 1948
Wyoming, West Virginia record on gives mother's name as Mary COLLINS. as does marriage record in 1907 to Strickland give Collins. Son Braxton gives Amanda Blankenship as his mother. Only place I saw Smith was marriage to G. E. Hatfield. Did you find her anywhere else as Smith?

RE: John Henry Yarber(1840-1900)
I can't remember if we responded. So please excuse me if I'm repeating things. You asked how we are related to the Yarber's. John Henry married Margaret Morris (1842-1891). They married abt 1861 in Kansas. Margaret's brother, George Andrew Morris (1836-1915)is a 2nd Great-Grandfather to my husband, Rodney M. Chase. That makes Margaret a 2nd Great-Grand-Aunt to my husband, & John Henry Yarber a 2nd Great-Grand-Uncle to Rod.
John Henry's son James, to James daughter Florence G. Yarber(1910-1980) married Cecil Williams. That's as far as I've gotten. I have all of Florence's 5 siblings,John H., Stella M., Bernice B., Charles E., & George A. & I have James's 4 siblings, Charles, Cora, Eva & Mary.
I hope this explanes it well for you. Take care & God bless.

RE: Neva Robertson
You're welcome. I was able to obtain a copy of her obituary to include in her memorial. I submitted it to the contributor who created her memorial.
