I'm a 64yr. old Wife, Mom, Grandmother & a Navy Veteran. I have over 43 yrs. of experience as a Domestic Engineer. I've been researching our family lineages since 1978. It has been a big blessing the past few years. Between Ancestry's extended data bases combined with F.A.G. has made it possible to find more & more of our lost family members. Thank you to all those who have done volunteer work for F.A.G.
My physical limitations prevent me from taking a journey thru cemeteries. So your journeys & through your efforts, the most humble & most elaborate markers, have been amazing to discover & see through your photos. So your work on our behalf is most appreciated. We Wish You All Fair Winds and Following seas.

RE: Stephen Chas # 97475785
Hi Kathy, not sure if I had already replied to you or not(sorry, I had a family emergency for the past 2 weeks and everything I had been doing prior was put on the back burner so not sure who I have written to or not).

I actually had a photo request out for Stephen's wife, Sarah Hale Chase. Someone sent me a message that the grave was unmarked so I added a generic "unmarked grave" photo to her memorial noting it was unmarked. I decided to add the same "unmarked grave" photo to her husbands, without knowing you had a photo request out on him. If you look at his memorial, it says right there that the grave is unmarked. If you don't like that generic photo, I can remove it. Please let me know and have a wonderful weekend.

He was my 4th great grandfather. Find a Grave gives no options about the title. Take it up with the administrator. Btw, he was never in the Navy.

RE: Lizzie Lewis Ireland #73682688
You're welcome, Kathy.

I don't know if you're aware of it, but it appears Ms. Lizzie already had a Memorial page when this page was created on July 21, 2011. The original page was made on Sep 09, 2006, and the Find A Grave # is 15681056. The dates are different, but there appears to be too much information to ignore that it's one and the same person. To follow Find A Grave's guidelines, maybe this one should be deleted?

Wishing the same good tidings to you and yours. :-)

I MAY be distantly related to the Shannons - we have no proof as yet. My Kings are from Ohio - so no relationship there. I just enjoy submitting cemeteries and photos and try to help when I can. Thanks for asking!

Shannon-King Cemetery
Hi, Kathy,
Sorry, but I don't have the photo so that I can read what is written on the sign. It probably has a description of the cemetery and a list of some military men, as you might guess. If I am ever up that way, I'll take a better picture of it - one that is readable.

RE: Louis Wells #111300260
Hi Kathy! I haven't given up on finding Louis Wells yet, and I didn't click the right box when I tried to post the problem I was having, so I would love it if you would re-request a photo for me. I've made a couple of trips to the library and the city hall and still have hopes of locating the final resting place for Mr. Wells. Just last week I managed to narrow down the spot of one gentleman and found his stone about 6 inches under ground. Still waiting for someone from the city to get back to me on how to get it OUT of the ground so we can read it, but I'm all charged up and ready to start a new "hunt"! I'll keep in touch! Stephanie

There is a metal marker by his stone that is the Order of the Easter Star, which is the women's order connected to the Masons. Do you want me to add it to his? Jane
