Hi, my name is Victoria Henwood, wife of Daryl Henwood. I noticed you are looking for Henwoods in the Philadelphia area. I'm interested. Daryl's uncle David shared family history that his Father, David Daniel Henwood, had relatives in Philadelphia. Daryl's father, John Vernon Henwood, passed away when he was 2 yrs. old. I'm always hunting.

Section and plot info is already on the memorial -- it's Merion 120. You can also review West Laurel Hill Cemetery online database and potentially order lot records for Anna Henwood or anyone else if you wish -- http://www.webcemeteries.com/westlaurelhill/Name_Results.Asp

Jim my tree is loaded with Prices, in fact have to go to Md next week for a memorial service. Most of mine were in Adams or York Cos Pa or in Baltimore or Hartford Co Maryland. They were Quakers and Methodists.-Stephen

It's a beautiful graveyard. Well worth a visit, I think. That's why I started volunteering to take photos there--I went there whenever I was in the area anyway just to look around, so I thought I may as well make myself useful.
I'm about an hour and fifteen minutes away, but have business near WLH every few weeks, which is mostly the only time I make it there.
By the way, I noticed a George Wood in the background of the group shot someone added for Abraham Henwood and others (I also have a shot of that grouping). I don't have a connection for him to the Henwoods, but I do see his memorial doesn't have a photo. I'll upload a crop of my group shot to his and try to get a better photo next time.

The reason I got on to the Henwoods was that I had done a request for a Wood earlier, and when I saw the marker in Merion 120 for
William Wood (Find A Grave #91322485)
Sarah Wood (Find A Grave #91322464)
plus three of their children (Eliza, Frances W. and Charles Rea, and William's mother, Sarah-- all six of them on the one marker), I thought I'd snap it in case they were part of the other Wood family.
So, in case you don't know, Anna Henwood was née Wood, daughter of the William and Sarah, above. I added the connections, but the manager of her memorial hasn't accepted the edits yet. There is another sister or two not on the group marker, but said to also be on Merion 120, as is Anna. I did not see any other markers on that plot, but I could have missed them. I will look next time I go to WLH, but that may not be for another few weeks, so I won't claim the request just yet.
Like I said I don't know how to use this site well, so I hope I'm doing this right! There is another grave I am very interested in seeing: My best childhood friend,Kelli Gillespie, who was born on November 11, 1977 in Baltimore, Maryland. God bless her heart, she died at 29 years old of breast cancer. Right before she died she married a man with the last name of Gilley, and I believe she's in Parkton Cemetery off of Taylor Avenue in Baltimore. (Along with my great grandparents the Emerson's). If you happen to have any information I would be very interested. If I can help you in any way please let me know.
Thanks and God bless!

This may not be my Sarah.
There were so many Sarahs back then and even more than one Sarah Good and some even from the same area.
Thank You for your help.

|Shar||RE: Sarah Good|
The Sarah Good I speak of was married to Alexander Good who was supposedly born in or near Baltimore about 1781. We think our Sarah died, probably, before 1840. There was a move, by wagon train, from W Va to Ohio in the 1836 time frame and Alexander then married a much younger woman. My grandmother who started researching Alex Good in 1948 never could find the woman she thought was Sarah, nor the parents of Alex not any of his siblings.
I can't make the facts totally fit, but, the dates for this Sarah Good's birth and death fit. If her married name was 'not' Good, but rather her maiden name, perhaps she was a sister.
I sure would like to make some head way with this 60 year plus search.
Thanks for answering my email,
Sharon in Kansas

I do not have photos of your Christ. I do have a photo of my GG Grandfather Christ Stegman b 1854 in Russia.
I think we are 5th cousins. My line is from the above Christ and his son Adam.
My email is in my profile so feel free to email me about the Stegmans.
