|My mother and Aunt Aileen started working on family history about 30 years ago. I dabbled with my tree and uploaded a file my brother made for my mom about 10 years ago and messed around a little. When my Aunt Aileen passed at 70 my then 85 year old mother didn't really have the mental capabilities to get things on her program or online. I promised mom and my uncle that I would "finish." I know now that there is no finishing. I have almost 4,600 in my tree and find more about my family all of the time. I have met family members not too far removed and have discovered that I am a distant cousin of my husband on both sides of his family. |
Since there is no finishing I will push forward as long as I am able. My tree is public on Ancestry in hopes that the research I have done will help those who come after. If anyone finds any mistakes please let me know.
A distant cousin told me about this site. It makes my family history so much more real.
I hope I can help others by snapping photos nearby.

You're welcome Allene. I'm sure I will be getting more for you next year. Still no snow here but I'm sure it will be coming soon.

Hi, Allene - Happy to help with pictures of your family members. Unfortunately, only 4 graves are marked, but I added pics to Fred & Christine; and created a couple of new records, too. I will attempt to contact someone for more information about the "missing" graves. Also, If you want records transferred to you, let me know.
P.S. Your bio says: "[Find A Grave] makes my family history so much more real." That's exactly how I felt when I discovered this Web site! I've started (photo) documenting entire cemeteries in hopes of helping others gain the same excitement and appreciation.
Thanks for the work you do here!

|marypie||RE: Transfer please|
Allene, I have added hundreds of photo's within the last week or so and I am very glad that one of them was of your cousin and I would be pleased to transfer it to you (if it is mine to transfer) but you must tell me who to transfer and to whom!
I suspect that the memorial does not belong to me and you must ask the memorial manager. To ask for a transfer go to your cousins memorial page, click on the edit tab, click on "select any other correction or addition" and request a transfer there.

Thanks for sponsoring this memorial. Would you like me to transfer it to your care?

Thank you so very much for sponsoring Steven's memorial!
Find A Grave is a truly great companion to the other genealogy sites available for those of us interested in family history.

You're welcome. Glad to help out.

You're very welcome but FYI the stones have had errors too. =]
|macso||RE: Thank you so much.|
You are very welcome. Yes, Harold is to her right as you look at her marker and Artie right of Harold. There were already headstones posted for them, so I didn't take additional photos of them. Glad I could be of help to you. Chris

You're very welcome. I'm glad I can help out. I will re-take most of the photos later on when things green up and hopefully I can get better shots.
|John Bracchi||Delfino Villa|
Thanks for trying to find Delfino's cemetery marker. I'm researching the Villas for a "cousin" of mine. I appreciate your effort.
