Good question. Yes, Lavina's father was John Anderson. I should create memorials in findagrave.com in response to your inquiry. Give me some time for that and I will get back with you. Thanks, Jay

Yes, I am descended from Benjamin Morton and Lavina Anderson. My line is through their son, John Morton, and John's son, James Quinn Morton. Because of that lineage John and Sarah Morton of Woodford Co., KY are important to me. I have seen various maiden names attributed to Sarah but without explanation and documentation. I show her as Sarah Unknown. That is the way I list maiden names until they are proven. Let me know if you find something.

Thank you for remembering my beloved Mother's Birthday today. I miss her so very much and my heart is heavy today. Your kindness and beautiful heart will never be forgotten. Again, your remembrance is deeply appreciated for her lovely Birthday flowers.
Bless you and your family,

Hello Alice, I am pleased to hear from you again. I have not collected information regarding the origins of the Morton surname or regarding Morton immigrants to America. Also I have no information concerning the origins of our earliest known Morton ancestor. That is an interesting subject but I am sorry that I couldn't help you with that one at least at this time.
You list Sarah as a Hawking. That is a new one to me. I have seen various maiden names attributed to Sarah but without providing further information. What do you have that indicates that Sarah was a Hawking?
Looking forward to hearing from you again,
